I received an email from Luke Lowrey describing his Vertical Project that talks about how his secret method will double your vertical leap and some people jump as high as 50 inches. It really is quite amusing and I looked at his website and signed up for his news letter. One day he sends me a newsletter saying he will ship the system for free to the next 10 people.

I clicked on the link and said why not, it's free and I was interested in hearing specifically how he planned to realize his ridiculous claims. On the order page there was a link for pay using paypal and then a button for "Review Order" Now Review Order means that you can review before ordering, it does not say Order. Also, because it was supposed to be free, I figured that by clicking review order, I would see the discount offsetting the price of the product. Instead, I was taken to a screen that said congratulations, your order has been processed. They charged me $497 for a product that was supposed to be free and I really did not want--I was just interested in taking a look at it and would not have paid a single dollar if I knew I was being charged. This was a case of false advertising ande fraudelent billing.

Full Refund

AUTHOR: Ryan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, November 16, 2006

I was actually contacted by the owner of the company, Luke Lowrey, who instantly issued a full refund. This was not a fraud, but merely a misunderstanding on my part of what would happen when I clicked "Review Order." It has been pointed out to me by Mr. Lowrey that the free program I was looking at was free only with the purchase of another program. I did not realize this until after I was charged and Luke Lowrey issued my refund to promote good will, without accepting blame of his email or payment site being misleading. If ripoffreport would let me withdraw my original posting at this point, I would appreciate it.

Possible Resolution

AUTHOR: Ryan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 15, 2006

After contacting this company, they stand by the language of their site as being straightforward and say they are willing to issue me a refund as it seems to them that I did not understand the offer. I will wait to see if we can settle our differences and if it truly turns out to be a case of misunderstanding, then I apologize for being rash in my judgment.
