Just like everyone else, I did not receive my $99 for my rebate. I sent in my rebate with the necessary attachments 5 days after the dish was installed on 7/29/03 to then receive a postcard stating my postmark date on my rebate submission was after the deadline for this rebate.

I contacted Nick at 1-800-395-5899 and 866-441-3013 both said I applied for the rebate via the Internet and they did not receive the necessary attachments to process the rebate. I faxed them the information again, but to no avail.

I wasn't born yesterday. I knew there was going to be a lot of stalling on Prime TV's part and probably never receive my $99.
#1 - There was no postmark date on my rebate form.
#2 - I did not apply via the Internet.
#3 - I filed for the rebate 5 days after installation via US mail with the rebate form and all necessary paperwork needed to process the rebate along with a Delivery Confirmation Receipt so they could not say they did not get it.
#4 - I called Prime TV to verify they were still giving the rebate after I received the postcard and they verified they were.

THANK YOU CHIP FROM CHICAGO (see his posting on 8/19/03) for giving the home phone numbers of the Customer Service Manager along with others. I contacted Jeff Hess at home and his wife was very cordial and said he would call me back from work. Jeff called me back and I explained my scenario.

Well, more excuses - he stated a third party company disburses the rebates like there was nothing he could do.

After some discussion and I was not going to hang up, he asked me to hold. He came back and amazingly he was able to find my information on HIS computer. The third party is an excuse, he had access to the information all the time.

This rebate rip-off is designed as many others are to frustrate the consumer to the point they will not call back and yes, no rebate. Imagine the money they make on not reimbursing the consumer their rebate.

Well, I am here to tell you do NOT give up.

Call Jeff Hess at work at 1-800-395-5899 ext. 1500. He should call you back. If not, call him at home. See Chip's posting for phone numbers. He said he would pay the $99 inhouse, but in reality he is authorized to pay you your money through Prime TV as he does have access to their screens. Jeff said I would receive my money within 10-14 days.

Thank you Jeff, I received my money in 11 days. Good Luck!
