 I want to let the Northern Colorado area and community know about a so called Limited Liability Company called Switzer Maids.  Maybe some have already heard but I moved to Loveland less than a month ago from a very large city, Houston Texas.  Also looking for some part-time work I was scouring local job listings and Craigslist.  On craigslist found an ad for Switzer Maids looking for maids to hire at $11.00 an hour to start. 

So I called and I spoke to a man named Damon Maron who claimed to run switzer maids, a family ran business in Northern Colorado.  So we scheduled a day for me to clean a house in Milliken, Co. on May 24th and this would be my paid interview.  If I cleaned the house to his standards I was hired.  We had a verbal agreement that would be getting paid for this job too.  

I met Damon Maron at 10 am at an empty five bedroom house, including living spaces, dining room, office & basement,  on 141. E. Juneberry st. in Milliken, Co.  Damon was a bald guy with lots of tattoos maybe in his mid-thirtees, wearing khakis and a polo shirt, I also noticed he was wearing a crucifix lol.  He took a look at my cleaning supplies and said we were waiting for the real estate agent to open the house. 

Five minutes later realtor, Karli Diamond showed and opened the house for us.  We walked around to take a look and they discussed their business on what needed to be done. I mentioned that I didn't have a vacuum cleaner and Damon said he had one in the car.  He stated that It would take me about four hours to clean the entire house, Kitchen, refridgerator, cabinets, drawers, windows, oven, sweep all floors, mop all tile, dust closets, baseboards, shelves, clean all bathrooms toilets, shower walls, bath tubs, sinks, drawers (everything).  Damon said he would be back in time with the vacuum so I could complete the job.  

Both Damon and Karli left me to the house alone.  He said he would be back & I began shortly after 10:15am  During the job he called me once around 12pm to check on me.  When It got close to 2pm I gave Damon a call to let him know I was finishing up,  he didn't answer and I left a message. I waited around for ten minutes called a couple more times and he finally called me back apologizing stating he had a flat tire and that I could leave, he would meet up with me later and pay me.  He said when his car was fixed he would come by the house and vacuum himself.  On my way out Karli Diamond arrived.  She inspected the cleaning job and was worried about getting the carpet vacuumed.  I relayed Damon's situation to her and left.  

I called Damon at his phone number, 970-581-1319 later that day in hopes to meet up, get paid and possibly hired.  He didn't answer.  I called the next day numerous time and still got no response.  During my cleaning session Damon happened to call me from a different phone number than his; so I called this number as well.  I left a message on Drew's phone.

During this time my boyfriend did some research on Damon Maron and Switzer Maids, which was my mistake for not doing beforehand, but it wasn't hard to find that Damon is notorious for ripping people off.  An all out scammed up con artist.  There are numerous reports and complaints from people that didn't get paid for up to 65 hours of work, people who have cleaned houses for him and can are unable to contact him because he doesn't answer their calls, real estate agents that didn't get their house cleaned but he cashed the check, and the list goes on!  Just google Damon Maron, switzer maids and check out ripoffreport.com & the Better Business Bureau reviews, it's all there!

By the third day of not hearing back from Damon or Switzer Maids I decided to give Karli Diamond a call because she handed me her business card when I met her.  I explained to Karli the whole situation and that I couldn't get a hold of Damon.  She said that she had cut Damon a check for the house being cleaned and that he was in a rush because he was going on vacation that Labor Day weekend.  I understood but just wanted to know if she had corresponded with him.  She said yes, I have just asked him to send me a receipt.  

After speaking with Karli Damon finally called me back.  Damon was not happy that I was trying to reach him.  I told him look I'm sorry but you gotta keep in contact with me and let me know what is going on in regards to me getting paid for thoroughly cleaning this house.  I mean it's pretty understandable that a person who runs a business should be able to contact clients and employees in a timely manner.  He was raising his voice saying I have no right to call him multiple times, and that I can't tell him how to run his business.  I stated that I wasn't telling him how to run his business.  He also yelled at me for leaving a voicemail on the other phone number that he called me from which happened to be his brother, Drew.  He was furious and hung up on me to call me right back.  

At that moment I already knew what I was dealing with and that he was playing some kind of game with me and that I would not be seeing any money from this dude.  When I look at the dates on the rip off report website, Damon has been doing this to people in Fort Collins, Loveland and everywhere in Northern Colorado for quite some time.  The reports go as far back as March 2010!!!  

I continued to call Damon and he played numerous games with me.  Calling me back from Drew's phone, saying that he was Damon's brother and that Damon's father died and he had to go out of town.  This is funny because  this was the same Labor Day Weekend he told Karli Diamond that he was going on Vacation.  I mean really I'M NOT STUPID!  After almost two weeks have passed I tried calling Damon's number again, only to get voicemail.  I called his brother's number again and someone answered.  He said his name was Andrew and that Damon was his brother.  He told me that he cannot do anything about it and that Damon has been ripping people off forever.  On the rip off report website there is also a statement:

For all know or don't know Damon could be playing all of these roles; it's part of his game.  What I'm surprised about is how is this is still happening.  I'm from a big city all kinds of sh*t goes down where I'm from but to come to this small town and have already been jipped so easily by this d****e bag Damon Maron that obviously THINKS he can get away with doing innocent working people this way is ridiculous!  . 

Damon you gotta be all twisted up in your pathetic self to think you can continue to do this to people.  I am putting this out there because it is what I can do to put you on BLAST.  This statement is free-flowing knowledge for the people to beware of SCUM like you.  So hopefully people aren't afraid to tell their story and spread truth.  The truth is out and there is nothing honest or truthful about you! 

You are a POSER, that's why you wear that crucifix on your neck.  You can play your evil game only because your evil world allows it Damon,  LoL, but you won't get away with it.  You will be miserable and you will not be able to sleep at night and if you live to be old you will be lonely and undesirable.  You have only brought yourself down to this level and it's pretty pathetic!

I have been an employee with Switzer Maids for 1 years now and when i got hired Damen informed me that people were writing bad things about him on the internet and he showed me exactly where these posts were. He stated that in the process of doing business that infact sometimes thing do not go well and people sometimes do get mad or hurt,he assured me that i would have no problem with him for any reason you know what? HE WASNT LYING i have been here for a year now and i work 40 hrs a week have LOTS of great clients that are very happy with our service and I GET ALL MY TIPS!

I am writing this because it just doesnt seem likely that all of this is true....the internet is a place wherr any idiot with fingers can write and slander anyone at any time. I'm a former employee, and I can vouch for the lady saying he kept our tips. It's 100% true. We were overworked and underpaid. He sent us all over the place, and NEVER paid us mileage! My poor van shouldn't have even been used- he was supposed to get company cars! Our clients loved our cleaning, but never liked dealing with Damen. I ended up branching off into my own company, and took half his clients with me because they wanted ME to clean their house, not his company! He even fired a pregnant girl a few years ago and she had to fight him for her money. He said it was because she was not a good cleaner, but she was excellent. We always worked on houses together and the peple would say we did the best job out of anyone he had sent over there. He does not have employees who have been with him for "many years." I worked with him for the longest amount of time, which was two years. He is just trying to cover for himself. Just shut the business down already- you're wasting everyone's time!

You said that you would expect a call not an email Damen.. I have tried over and over and over to call you.. You pick up the phone and hang up on me when you see its my number. When I call from another number you let it go to your recording and then I am told you have a full mail box.

this is another false statement..i have plenty of extremely happy employees that work for me and have been for many years.

All that the original report states is true. Although in my opinion is describing him nicely. He would have me clean a home, and I would do a fantastic job. A lot of customers would be so happy, they would sign up for weekly cleans. Since I was the highest paid employee on his roster, he would stop sending me to these homes, and start to send his employees that worked for minimum wage. Nonetheless, cutting my hours to barely any a week.
If we were sick, or injured, or had emergencies, he would threaten us; "You show up, or you won't have a job!" When told about a semi-major illness one day he retorted, "Take an Alleve and be there at 9am, or your fired!"
He rarely got us supplies that we needed. A lot of times the supplies would come out of our own home. He rarely gave us any gas money or helped us with the maintenance of our vehicles, yet had us driving all over, to places like Laffeyette, Greeley, Berthoud, and up in the mountains. We were hourly employees, but were told we were independent contractors so he wouldn't have to deal with our taxes.
He would lie to us all the time to get us to do things. He would show favoritism to certain employees. It was not uncommon for him to not pay us our whole paycheck, and then string us along for days waiting for the rest, at his convenience of course. He would call me an "idiot", and would play control games with my hours, when he was very aware that I was desperate for money. It was times when I needed money the most, that he would decide to not schedule me any houses, and then evade me when I would try to contact him to ask him why. If it was on the other shoe, and he was needing to get a hold of us it was a different story. If we didn't answer; he would keep calling back, hang up, and call right back. He would constantly tell us at 4pm on a Friday that, "By the way, you have to work tomorrow." Never had any consideration of plans that we might have had!
He is all about the money. Often, he picks up the check before the girls even show up to do the work! He also would keep our tips! I don't even think that he has a business license, and I would be very surprised if he was insured.
Be on your toes when you come across Damon Marin!

i have a cleaning service and have been in business for 15 yrs!!  Ive never ever ripped anyone off period!!..I am trying too convey too these people who are apparently not getting it.. FULLY REFUNDED...WILLING CLEAN FOR FREE!!!   GOT IT!!

Damen scheduled cleaning appointments with 4 clients of mine. When their time came, nobody showed up at their house. They called Switzer Maids over thinking their was a scheduling problem or miscommunication. They called over and over to no avail. Then they understandably wanted their money back. Since they could not reach him, they asked me for a refund, since I'm the person who promoted his company with a Groupon - like ad. Of course, I refunded all the money and asked Damen to reimburse me. He's nowhere to be found, won't answer any calls and I haven't seen one dime of the $500 I'm out. Oh, and when these people purchased the deal to have their houses cleaned, I immediately sent Damen his share of the money I collected.

Damen is a liar. He's a thief. Don't trust him. Don't do business with this shady character. I'm wondering if he even has a cleaning company.

i just want too reslove this..ive refunded these people there money..wasnt able too complete the service due to employee problems!....ive offered to do the service for free..but they  insist on slandering my name and sending me rude and obnoxious emails...once again i want too clarify...i am offering too due the service FOR FREE!!!
