Lexington Law Firm BEWARE LEXINGTON LAW FIRM IS A SCAM!! Salt Lake City Utah

I am happy to report that Lexington Law Firm did refund my money. I was okay with that because I am able to now go grocery shopping and feed my children. Now I know better than to give my credit card information to anyone soliciting my business over the phone...

Lexington Law Firm has been around for 18 years.  I work for a company that recommends numerous clients over to them, because I know that Lexington would be the best fit for their situations.  Here are some reasons why this "complaint", and many others seem to be false.  Look at the quality of writing, the grammatical errors, and the appeal to emotion.  

I know we should not believe everything that is reported in ripoffreport.com. There are fair complaints from frustrated consumers, and there are others that have exaggerations, honest mistakes or misunderstandings from the consumers.

I was ready to not pay attention to the complaints and buy the Lexington Law credit repair services, but the rebuttal to the person reporting that she did not have money to feed her kids, is totally out of place; and that made me change my mind.

The rebuttal looks like written by someone from inside that firm. Making fun of a person that may not have the level of education required to write a decent letter, but that have the right to express his or her unhappiness with a service or product, is not decent.

Comments like those that goes against the person's rights and dignity should not be allowed here.

I also believe that it's not always wise to belive all negative comments about a consumer...But to suggest that a person can not write or should not have children is just plain ignorant...And I too believe that the Rebuttal is an inside job. Every person, every family... can have a hard time strike thier situation. And unfortunatley, financial problems are the result.....It could happen to anyone. Even you and your family REBUTTAL PERSON. Life takes everyone by negative surprise at some point or another....Just remember that next time you have something so awful to say about someone.

I have been using Lexington for 4 months now and I'm very happy with the results I've received, I payed them 9.99 the day I enrolled and 99.95 15 days later.

I had two negative listings on my report, one Charge Off and a Collection (which I paid/settled with the collection agency, even tho I felt it was not my account) I hired LLF on Dec 23 2010 and within 8 days I received an Email from them stating they detected one removal from my reports, it was the collection. At that time I had only payed them the 9.99 for enrollment. Then about 7 days later I payed them the 99.95 for the set up fee.

They are still working on the Charge Off, they sent out letters to the Credit Bureaus to verify the account, which after just about 30 days the Bureaus did verify them (so they claim) Then Lexington took a more aggressive approach and after another 30 days or so the Bureaus and the Creditor both investigated and verified again.

As of now Lexington told me they want to wait till the end of March to do an even more escalated approach so the Paralegal I spoke to told me she was going to put my account on hold, so I wouldn't have to pay for the month of March because they would not be performing any work for me during that month. It was her suggestion to put my acct. on hold not mine, I find that very respectable.

Yesterday I received an Email from Lexington stating that they had sent out another letter directly to the creditor, so i called them and asked if my acct. was on hold? and I was under the impression no work would be done on my behalf during the month of March, she looked at my file and told me "yes your acct. is on hold and has actually been credited the 59.95 monthly fee" so when their system goes to pull the money from my bank acct. on the 11th of March it will actually pull it from the credit on my acct. instead.

Obviously its not the 11th of March yet so I can't be for sure I will not be charged, but if I am I will come back here and let you know. As of this point I have NO reason to doubt Lexington as they have done everything they said they would, they are not miracle workers and they do NOT drag their feet, it takes time to dispute stubborn creditors and have the inaccuracies removed from your reports.

I hate to hear that they did not perform the services they promised you and that you were not refunded, I don't know both side of the stories in your case.

I just wanted to put a little positive about this company as I feel they deserve it at least in my case.

Lexington Law Firm goes over the Retainer Agreement with you. In fact they go over the pricing options like 4 or 5 times when signing new clients up. You can cancel at any time as there is no contract but there has never been a promise to give you money back. Maybe you should focus on paying your bills in the first place so you don't have bad credit and then you would have no need to hire a credit repair law firm to help you with your credit...

I know that most people end up losing money or paying in many ways monetarily when they have bad credit.

  
    I signed up today with Lexington Law so I have no idea yet how they will help me. I do have to comment on the suggestion that had we just paid our bills we wouldn't need to use a company like Lexington Law.

     I would love to have paid my bills in the first place, however the economy tanked and my career as a real estate broker went with it. I like many people went from making a good living and paying my mortgage and credit cards monthly to having no income and watching my credit take a dive. To make matters worse my husband decided he didn't want to be married anymore and left. I was now sole responsible for a house we purchased based on two incomes, one of which was lost when the housing bubble burst and the other waltzed right out the door and filed bankruptcy.     

    Maybe I should have done the same but as everyone knows it cost at least $1500 to file and with no income that was not an option. I have since taken steps to better my situation and am attending college full time and have student loans so I still can't file. 

    Please before you sit in judgement of anyone try being a little open minded and see that not everyone with bad credit was just choosing not to pay their bills and that sometimes bad things happen that are beyond our control and some bills just can't be paid.

     When you sign up with Lexington Law you are directed to electronically sign either verbally or on line. So obviously when they told you, you can cancel within 5 business days nobody was listening and paying attention. Also you gave them your card information and was aware what the prices are so I don't know why people complain no wonder you have bad credit you probably sign up for things and then say well I don't agree to nothing even when you physically signed the agreement. So grow up and take responsibility of what you have signed up for and take the consequenses and if you can't afford food then you shouldn't be looking to improve your credit. Its not free if you hire someone to do it for you. So good luck and we probably will see other complaints from you for other companies since no one knows how to read and listen.

I have not heard anything bad about Lexington. I have only heard good things about them. Unfortunately perhaps a person had a bad experience but I am sure contacting them would clear things up. They have definitely been around for a long time and do have a A- BBB rating.

I had posted a reply here earlier and I wanted to let you know the end results.

May 2011 LLF was able to have the inaccurate CO removed from my reports, fast forward to now.

I have re-built my credit and I have been able to get my FICO's into the 795-802 ranges.

Thanks LLF and a lot of hard work on my part, I have Excellent Credit once again.

Thank You for your report on this site!! I JUST got off the phone with Lexington Law and sceduled an appointment for a call back on the 15th (pay day) to have the $12.99 set up fee and $99.99 taken from my account. I can't thank you enough!

I would think with the times we are in that people would be less spiteful and money hungry when so many people want to get ahead and do the right thing to provide for their families. I am so dissappointed in what I've read but so glad I did!

I have come close to being scammed three times in the last six months and I would have been if it weren't for this website!!

These corporations really know how to kick people when they are down!!

To the author who decided to judge and put down a person for trying to build a better future and couldn't feed their kids...Shame on you!! I have been in a similar situation and have two bachelor degrees.  Education level and grammar have nothing to do with falling on hard times!

And yes, it is true, you should not take for face value everything you read on the internet but hundreds of people all over the country CAN'T be idiots!!!

As far as the BBB claims go...do your research...Google BBB 20/20 investigation and see what the abc network had to say! You can even research it on this site.... That's when you need to take into account not to believe everything you read! That includes BBB ratings. Anyone who pays that right amount can have an "A" rating including terror groups!!
