Is Covad's VoIP the new Norvergence? Covad uses the tatics of Tom Salzano and his brother Pete Salzano.. "No commitment, sign now" "We use a consultative process" "If you qualify.." direct form Norvergence.

To use Covad VoIP you MUST use their network. VoIP can run on DSL if needed, not a T1 as the covad "Partner" will tell you. You MUST use their telecom equipment. Sales agents use "partners" to deliver services. NEVER USE A VoIP PROVIDER THAT REQUIRES YOU TO USE THEIR BROADBAND!!! IF ONE NODE ON THE NETWORK FAILS, ALL SYSTEMS FAIL!!! In November the Covad network failed on the East Coast bringing all networks and phone services down. Covad offers a "MONTH TO MONTH" contract, however you must use COVADS T1's and commit for AT LEAST one year... Here is the catch... if you leave Covads "DASHBOARD" VoIP the only data service you can run is COVADS.

The T1 is useless if you don't use their service. GOTCHA!!! DO NOT USE A SERVICE THAT WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO USE YOUR OWN BROADBAND!!! VoIP WILL WORK ON DSL IF REQUIRED!!! DON'T FEED THEIR "PARTNERS" POCKETS!!!! VoIP should SAVE money, not incease costs!!! The "DASHBOARD" will take search information from the public search directory... try using anywho.com... same info without the hook and ripoff!!! VoIP can be used on most phone systems, don't get hooked by the CISCO w***e COVAD....
