I am just sick to my stomach about this. I tried to do my research, contact BBB, Attorney Generals office, looking for any indication that this was a bad deal. I even did a search for complaints. Couldn't find anything bad about the company. Then when things went south, the word scam came to me! I did the search again using SCAM and low and behold, here it is. I am so mad. I spent my life savings to get into this business!

I have seen a class action suit. It just costs more money, right? How do we get any of our money back, with out having to invest more???

I'm going to try to start a Yahoo group about Transnetscams , so look for it in a few days

What chance do we have if the FTC shut them down???

I want to sue these guys. I want revenge. I want my money back! Call me.

TRANSNET WIRELESS UPDATES FOR WHAT ITS WORTH Plantation Florida

This information got posted this afternoon from one of Transnet's Vendors who maintains the software on the kiosk. It gives information for those folks who has units in the field or still need to install them...They were kind(??)enough to list an attorney who is resonsible for all answering inquiries about this investigation...Hope this helps as I have 3 machines myself.

Dear Transnet Kiosk Owners,

As you may know, Transnet's business operations are currently under investigation. During the investigation period, Jane Moscowitz, Esq. has been assigned to serve as the Receiver. All inquiries in regard to the status of Transnet's business operations should be directed to Mrs. Moscowitz via email: jmoscowitz@mmmpa.com.

Over the last few days, WebRaiser and Airpath have received many calls from Transnet Wireless kiosk owners looking for information. Below is a list of the common questions and their answers.

Q. What is WebRaiser's role with Transnet Wireless?

A. WebRaiser Technologies is a vendor that provides software and services. The software includes the kiosks user interface and the remote management system. WebRaiser provides services to Transnet that include: maintaining a technical website (http://transnet.webraiser.com) and organizing access accounts to the prepaid pin application provided by EWI, Holdings and the credit card processing system provided by POS Payment Systems.

Q. What is Airpath's role with Transnet Wireless?

A. Airpath Wireless is a vendor that provides software and services required to operate the Wi-Fi portion of the kiosk. The software is hosted at Airpath's facility and interoperates through the Internet with each of the kiosks deployed. The software handles the wi-fi end-user interface, login process, credit card processing, end-user account management and usage reporting for the Wi-Fi portion of the service. The software also handles the Wi-Fi roaming capabilities.

Q. I have a kiosk that I want to install, how do I install it?

A. At present, documentation for installing Transnet kiosks is located at http://transnet.webraiser.com. This site also contains frequently asked questions and other information about operating your kiosks.

Q. Will my account be shut off?

A. There are multiple accounts associated with each Transnet Wireless Kiosk. Below are the accounts and our ability to assist with keeping services from going uninterrupted:

VS Director - WebRaiser will continue to provide access to VS Director to customers who have paid for these services.
Kiosk credit card processing - WebRaiser handles the establishment of merchant account processing through its partnership with POS Payment systems. This service will go uninterrupted unless you specify with POS Systems that you no longer desire this service.

Prepaid phone pins - WebRaiser handles the establishment of the pre-paid pins through its partnership with EWI. This service will go uninterrupted unless you specify with EWI that you no longer desire this service.

WiFi Access - WiFi services are provided through its contract with Airpath. This service will, for the time-being, continue to operate without disruption for all existing and new kiosks.

Q. Can I have a different Wifi provider run on my machine?

A. No. The software and equipment installed inside of the kiosk have been integrated together to make the end-user experience seamless. Since Airpath and Webraiser have agreed to cooperate with the FTC and the Receiver during this investigation, their should be no reason to change anything related to the kiosk operation.

Q. When will this matter will be resolved?

A. There is a court hearing scheduled on October 25th and more information should be forthcoming at that time.
