So many similar experiences! Basically, pushy salesman for IMS, ignored my no solicitations sign and used my normal business distractions to sell IMS services, July 2001. He provided fast comparison of old provider to IMS charge service. I was aware of $395.00 charge if IMS termination of 6 months or less. When I asked him of any other charges, he definitively said no. I was conned into not reading all the legel terms in the contract with
IMS and assured all was OK.

Feb. 2006 - I asked IMS for a competitive rate on their services based on a competitors offer. IMS refused any price-break, so I switched charge card providers. Had I been aware of the $295.00 termination fee IMS charges, I would have been unlikely to change to another provider; however, if I was aware of this unfair charge, I would be at the mercy of IMS to charge me with whatever rates and fees they chose, making free-enterprise and
competition worthless.

An IMS customer service representitve indicated his awareness of some bad sales contractors they hired around 2000 and directed me to fax a Carri Wilson at IMS on my complaint. I did 5-31-06 To date 6-10-06, no reply from Carri Wilson Corp. to Corp. note: If you are a corporation, be it sub-s or other, IMS has it set up so you have little or no chance to dispute their deceptive practices.

I've learned that this entire charge-card processing industry is totally full of absolute crooks. Take your time and don't be rushed to read any agreements with them - you could be locked into 6 months, 3 years or forever!

Innovative Merchant Solutions Responds

AUTHOR: Leanne - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, June 22, 2006

The customer states that in February 2006 we declined to reduce the processing rates. The reason why we could not accommodate that request is because the rates had already been significantly reduced in September 2005. Therefore, we could not reduce them any further.

We understand that in the competitive business of credit card processing that sometimes other companies can offer lower rates.

If there is ever an opportunity to maintain a successful customer relationship, we will do whatever we can. However, in this instance we were not able to reduce the rates to the level the customer desired in order to keep the account with IMS.
