T-N-T Carports Missing parts. Will not come back. Will not return calls Mount Airy, North Carolina

 On 5/8/2013 A crew of three arrived to install my 26 x 31 carport. They were short a roof panel. I was not going to pay them until it was finished but they informed me that they would not get paid if they did not collect a check for the balance from me. I tried to call the company but just like 19 times out of 20 when you call them it goes to voice mail and they rarely call you back. Anyway, I withheld $300 from the check because I didn't feel it right that this crew, who were very friendly and hard working, get caught in my conflict.

I received a call on May 22nd that a crew would be there to finish the project on the 24th. On May 23rd I received a call to move the install to Saturday (May 25th). Saturday came and went without a phone call and no one showed up. I have made numerous phone calls and would occasionally slip through the cracks and get to talk to someone. Today is July 31st. and nothing has happened.

I wanted to give them every opportunity to correct the problem but they have made it obvious they have no intentions off completing this project. The end trim pieces are laying in the yard and the carport is not completed." I have filed a BBB report and that's when I found out they have an "F" rating with the BBB. Since then I have called numerous times and occasionaly they would call and set up a time to complete it but the day would come and go with no one showing up and no phone calls. When I would get through the girl would promise me she would call me back but she wouldn't.

I also noticed the response from the owner was a canned response to every BBB complaint. I should have checked them out before buying but I bought the carport through the dealer that I bought my tractor from. I have known him for years. After I told him what happened he took down all the T-N-T literature and is not selling their carports any longer. I would suggest to everyone that you make sure all TNT dealers be informed of what the BBB rating is of TNT carports and all the unresolved complaints.
