I am totally disgusted with this company, they should be shut down. IF all companies in the United States ran their business in the manner in which this company does, people would be homeless and destitute.

1st Credit of America is supposed to be a debt collector. However, their practices are totally scandalous and unprofessional.

My situation was that I made payment arrangments with this company on specified dates. I had a total of three dates. Two weeks before the first arranged payment date, my account was hit 4 times, occuring two attempted debits for each day. Once the agreed upon payment arrangement date came, again my account was hit twice.

I put a stop payment at my bank, using any and all langauges in which I thought they would attempt to us to collect monies again.

In the meantime, I contacted the company for whom 1st Credit of America was collecting the money for. I learned that 1st Credit of America had been fired. So, WHY were they still trying to get money from my account.

Since I had blocked their numerous attempts to collect money from account, they became real slick and hired a company named www.paymybills.com, who took another $250 from my account.

The BBB (Better Business Bureau) has stated that 216 complaints were filed against this company within the last 36 months. That is an awful lot. 117 of the 216 complaints were closed by the BBB, due to "no response" from 1st Credit of America.

Word be to the wise, do NOT give these people your bank account information. They will make you all the promises in the world, just as they did to me, that everything will run smoothly and that your debt will be cleared. It's all lies. 1st Credit of America cannot be trusted.
