Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

21st Mortgage Corporation is a "cut-throat", NON-customer service oriented corporation. Although I have never MISSED a mortgage payment, I got in a bind over the Christmas holidays and was struggling to get my bills paid.
I had no intentions of NOT paying my monthly mortage, however it was going to have to be a little late in order for me to pay my bills in general...

You would have thought I was a criminal in the way I was harrassed, threatend and spoken down to...they weren't only satisfied with harrassing me, they continually called my parents (in their 70's) and turned them into a nervous wreck. My parents were co-signers. I have been here almost 10 years, I think it is pretty obvious we are not out to screw them!

The worst part is listening to a kid on the other side of the phone getting a real kick out of using brutality and threatening "authority"...of which they really have none...and I'm just a stupid a$$ old hag...who has busted my butt raising a kid same age as the one busting my chops as a single mom and doing very well at it...Sure...I was late in my payment...but for crying out loud, did it ever occur to anyone that this kind of technique is probably what causes the suicide rate to go up?

Bad things happen to good people...even to your own parents & family members...this is America...treat your fellow man with a little dignity eh?
Sure, there are the deadbeats & losers...but just being direct in why you are calling, talking with some respect AND intelligence is a much better reflection on the company, the individual calling...and I am going to work a whole lot
harder in getting that payment to you....Why? Because you were HUMAN...just like me. I am a business person and understand the need for collections....I would never allow my staff to treat our clients like GARBAGE..
under ANY circumstances.

Can anything be done about this? Probably not....but I have nothing good to say about 21st Mortgage and their collection techniques..and the snotty, hateful and full of themselves "students" who are using their parents credit cards to pay most of their way through college! wonder I have a hard time paying some of my bills.....I'm a PARENT! You need gas money? Oh....need help paying your rent? How about some groceries..Oh! and that bill YOU couldn't pay??? Wow....vicious circle eh?...So ya wanna harrass Me?
Big Deal...go ahead...get your paycheck, get your payment and call me next month....need money for those text books?

This response the 21st Mtg people write is a joke. They have no idea of "confidentiality" or any sort of rapid response. Our insurance is escrowed in our mortgage and without notifying us, the total payment went up app. $58.00 . No big deal, EXCEPT, we  received 3 phone messages each, all the same day and two letters (one to myself and one to my wife) about not making the FULL payment. Also, they contacted my sister-in-law to tell her we needed to call them. Confidentiality? PLEASE!!! We have never been late on our payments. In addition, we get a notice from the county that our taxes haven't been paid (they are also escrowed). I still haven't gotten through to their "tax department". We will be looking for another lender, these people are horrible.
