I went to Aarons Rent to Own in Des Moines, Washington. Their sign said " Everyone Approved " Bad Credit, No Credit, etc. I wanted to rent a computer. They charged my MasterCard and told me to pick up the merchandise the following day. I came back and they told me I could not get the merchandise. I asked why then did they charge my card and also pointed out their sign that read " Everyone Approved ". They lied and kept me in suspense and then when I asked for my money back they told me it will be credited back to my account in 10 days. Just what Kind of business is this.

I am currently a G.M. at an Aarons Sales & Lease franchise store...
Yes it does say everyone is pre approved, but it does not say that once we contact your customer references/landlord/employment that we will go ahead and let our merchandise out of the door if we receive bad comments from references/landlord-mortgage company/Employer....
If we cannot verify what we see on our lease order form... or if a landlord says you are 3 months late on rent... or if your personal references deem you unreliable or have other demeaning things to say... if the phone numbers you give are incorrect... or maybe if they cannot verify your employment...
All of these things can be a factor. Atleast one of the employees should have tried to contact you to these things corrected, if correctable.
