I purchased the entire Adobe Master Collection Creative Suite 6 for $475.00 and registered it in May of 2017. 2 years later Adobe went into my computer without my authorization and remotely shut off my software purchase stating that the software was not genuine. +

Why was it genuine in 2017 and not genuine in 2019? Agents refused to answer the question and came back with an offer to subscribe to the Cloud for a monthly recurring charge. This is a global company with a voratious appetite for money. All they want to do is steer you to the Cloud for a monthly recurring charge. Gotta pay for all that office space and employees world-wide.

Adobe is a Ripoff with a capital R.

Adobe is a Scofflaw Company; they get away with what they can.

AUTHOR: Michael - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, August 23, 2019

If you still don’t get it then you never will. I purchased Genuine Adobe Software. If the Software wasn't genuine, then the Serial Key would not work. That's pretty straight forward. So why a simpleton like you is unable to grasp that is beyond me..

The link I was sent, took me to the Official Adobe site, where I downloaded the Official Software. After I logged-in with my unique ID and Pasword and entered the Serial Key,  logic would demand that that Serial Key would no longer work for anyone else. If multiple users were able to use the Serial Key after that, then that is a serious breech of security on Adobe's part and has nothing to do with me.

What if the software was purchased never downloaded and sold as used.

The picture had the Official Adobe Logo on it. Oh... I'm sorry that could have been Photoshop.

If the Software wasn't genuine, then the Serial Key would not work. What are consumers supposed to do... hire private detectives every time an on-line purchase is made?

Adobe Genuine Software - Adobe Validated it. What part do you not understand.

Look at the Screen-Shots. They're two years apart.

I'm not alone here. Look at all the other Adobe complaints.

Adobe is a Scofflaw Company; they get away with what they can.

Thank you for writing.

It gives me yet another chance to fire an arrow into the heart of a company that likes to screw people.

It’s Called Black Marketeering

AUTHOR: coast - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, August 23, 2019

"I paid for and received a link to the Genuine Adobe Website where I had to login using my UNIQUE user ID and password and download the Genuine Adobe Software."

You did not purchase the software from Adobe; therefore, it would not have been available for you to download when you logged into your account. You may have been directed to a spoofed website.

"Please tell me how multiple users were able to use the same serial key when the serial key was registered with my UNIQUE User ID and Password."

As mentioned in a previous post, someone (possibly the seller) unlawfully distributed the serial number to multiple users. You posted the serial number so now it’s available to even more abusers. That serial number 'made the rounds.'

The serial number was revoked due to abuse. The abuse occurred over a period of time, which is why Adobe didn’t discover it immediately.

You purchased the software from an unauthorized source. The 80% discount should have been a red flag. If you still don’t get it then you never will. Enjoy your bootleg software.

First Adobe validated the serial key... then Adobe revoked it two years later.

Adobe rebuttal coming from some nonsensical uninvolved busy body.

AUTHOR: Michael - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, August 19, 2019

Jesus, all this time I thought that I was writing to Adobe and there was a chance that they would make things right. I happened to look closer at the bottom and saw... "No, I don't work for Adobe..." Initially I thought it was some form of Adobe signature and I ignored it.

Jim... this is not a blog. This is a forum for complainants and companies.

Since you are neither what in the world gives you the right or authority to interject your version on matters that you have no intimate knowledge of?

You have become the subject of some really good humor. What a laugh! Thank you.

Aloof Adobe wants Specificity.

AUTHOR: Michael - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, August 19, 2019

There were no discs. I paid for and received a link to the Genuine Adobe Website where I had to login using my UNIQUE user ID and password and download the Genuine Adobe Software. When the download was over. I registered the Genuine Adobe Software with a Genuine Adobe Serial Key.

Now Adobe...

Please tell me how multiple users were able to use the same serial key when the serial key was registered with my UNIQUE User ID and Password. Any other attempts to use that same serial key should have been nullified.

Please be SPECIFIC about that.

I want my serial key reinstated.

Adobe's mistake... not mine.

Adobe blundering staff took two years to figure out that there was a problem

AUTHOR: Michael - (United States)

POSTED: Sunday, August 18, 2019

Adobe wrote: "Adobe was unaware that multiple users would attempt to activate the software using the same serial number." And it took Adobe two years to figure this out. Yeah... that's a real believable story Adobe.

Where did your security people get their certifications... from a Cracker Jack Box? Boy, talk about gullible.

You need to get a handle on your serial keys, and I mean now. This is how Nortel, a billion dollar company, failed.

When Adobe makes a mistake, Adobe is not supposed to discipline the customer to make up for it.

Adobe should have absorbed its own mistake. Adobe could have read the mac address on each of the NIC Cards and then the software would have shown spent after two installs.

Your mistake Adobe. You have a chance to remove the egg from your face.

Make your mistake right; I want my seriel key to work.

This is what Ripoff Report is all about. Making mistakes right.

Now We Know

AUTHOR: coast - (United States)

POSTED: Saturday, August 17, 2019

You evaded my specific questions twice, so now we know that you paid $475 for a pirated copy of a $2600 software package. At the time you activated the software, Adobe was unaware that multiple users would attempt to activate the software using the same serial number. After several users activated or attempted to activate the software with that serial number it became apparent that that serial number was being unlawfully abused and therefore Adobe exercised its right to deactivate the installed pirated copies of the software.

In most circumstances, the owner of purchased software may sell or give the original source discs to another party provided the seller first deletes (and in this case also deactivates) the software from all computers prior to providing that software to the buyer. Someone (perhaps the seller) distributed copies with the associated serial number to multiple users, which is a violation of both the purchase agreement and federal software copyright laws.

It certainly is possible that you were unaware of the violations but maybe NOW you get it.

Adobe Spin Artists

AUTHOR: Michael - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, August 16, 2019

STOP trying to confuse the issue and just answer the question. Why did Adobe certify the software as genuine in 2017 and then two years later Adobe is stating that the software is not genuine.

You certified the software on the 21st of May 2017. If you had not certified the software, I could have filed with eBay and my bank and gotten my money back on the 22nd of May 2017.

The reason that I didn't file, is because Adobe certified the software and the seriel key unlocked the programs and I was able to use the programs.

That is the main issue. Adobe recently stopped selling CS6 and nullified the serial keys retroactively to steer everyone to the cloud.

Remember it's not libel if it's true.

Repeat of Two Specific Questions

AUTHOR: coast - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, August 16, 2019

Did the seller send you copies or were you sent the original Adobe installation discs? Are the original Adobe installation discs a full installation package or are the original Adobe installation discs labeled as upgrade discs?

I look forward to your specific response.

Adobe trying to spin, spin, spin.

AUTHOR: Michael - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, August 16, 2019

Dear Adobe,

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to highlight your egregious behavior.

It is VERY obvious that you are a liar. I told you that I registered the software and Adobe certified it. If you didn't, we wouldn't be having this wonderful banter. The reason that I registered the software immediately is because if Adobe didn't certify the software, I could have filed a claim with eBay and my bank for fraud and have gotten my money back. But Adobe did certify the software as genuine and now two years later Adobe is stating that the software is not genuine. Adobe is the one who equivocated and I'm going to make sure that I get my $475 worth of coverage to make sure that this doesn't happen to anyone else; and if it does, maybe we'll file a class action lawsuit. You might have to close a few offices after that.

I'll read your reply with interest.

No Actually They Didn't And There is No Spin - Except From You

AUTHOR: Jim - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, August 16, 2019

It is VERY obvious from the evidence that there would have been no way to certify software that was no longer offered for sale effective January 6, 2017.  You admit buying and registered the product in May 2017 per your narrative - after it was no longer offered for sale.  Accordingly, Adobe could not have sold you the product, therefore they could not have authenticated the product.  As I said, you clearly bought the software from someplace other than Adobe; now Adobe is simply enforcing their rights.  There is no spin in any of that - those are the facts.  Whatever evidence you have indicating certification at this point is irrelevant and is spin.  You're further trying to spin it as a ripoff from Adobe, but it was fairly simple to go to a 3rd party site and buy what should have been unavailable - I mean there are 3rd party companies right now that are still selling CS6.  Whenever you go to any 3rd party, then you are the mercy of the OEM.

I have been buying an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription for at least 4 years.  When I spoke to Adobe way back about whether I should either pay for the monthly subscription vs. buying the license outright - even years ago Adobe was looking to phase out of selling licenses, including CS6.  It seemed that since everyone in the industry was transitioning to subscription anyway, it made no sense to be a victim when Adobe decided to phase out the license purchase.

So I will say it again:

If you want a genuine Adobe product, then you have to go to the Adobe website and buy it there.  Don't go to a 3rd party.......

No, I don't work for Adobe...

Adobe Spin Artists Can't Spin This One.

AUTHOR: Michael - (United States)

POSTED: Thursday, August 15, 2019

Adobe certified the software in 2017 as genuine and then later in 2019 Adobe uncertified it so you could pigeonhole me into a monthly recurring charge with your cloud BS.

The company that I purchased the software from didn't Flip-Flop... you did Adobe. Now through Ripoff Report the world can be notified and your actions revealed for everyone to see.

Little do people know that "Big Brother" Adobe is scanning everyone's work that is in the cloud. What are you looking for Adobe?

You can't spin this one Adobe.

Ripoff Report is asking if I would like to be contacted by the media. The answer is a resounding YES!

Adobe Big Time Ripoff Artists

AUTHOR: Michael - (United States)

POSTED: Thursday, August 15, 2019

Nice try Adobe, but you can't spin this one. I registered the software immediately and you ADOBE certified it as genuine. 2 years later you're telling me that it is not genuine. I registered it immediately, because eBay had buyer protection and my Bank had fraud protection and I could get my money back if the software was not genuine, but ADOBE CERTIFIED THE SOFTWARE and I was good to go. Now, two years later, I'm screwed out of $475 because you are now saying the software is not genuine.

Here's the question that your agents refuse to answer. Why was the serial key genuine in 2017 and not genuine in 2019. What changed Adobe?

The nice part about this report is that it will never go away.

Buyer Beware!!!

As of January 9, 2017 Creative Suite Is No Longer Available For Purchase

AUTHOR: Jim - (United States)

POSTED: Thursday, August 15, 2019

The above title to this rebuttal comes from the actual Adobe website, which I show as: www.adobe.com/products/cs6.html

Now, I found other 3rd party websites  like uptodown.com selling this exact service you purchased.  Clearly, you did not go to the actual Adobe website to purchase this product.  In short, you gave a phony Adobe site your money and they were the ones who ripped you off.

In the future, always use the actual Adobe website to procure your software product - otherwise this sort of thing will happen.  You'll know you're at the real Adobe site when you see the Adobe logo in the URL.
