Afni,Inc. collection claim for Charter Communications Bloomington Illinois

afni has sent a collection notice to me claiming that they have a debt owed to Charter Communications from 2004. When stating that the final billwas paid to Charter at that time they claim that Charter states other wise. It is now 2009 and I have requested a copy of the documentation to show this debt, they say they do not have this but I should settle for the amount that they have offered. I feel that they and Charter are ripping people off and should be stopped from this deceptive practice.

They are on my credit report for Charter Communications as well from 2004, saying I owe them money when I don't.

Congratulations, you have become victim #54,692,310,866. Deceptive accounting is the cornerstone of charter communications. DISPUTE and REFUSE to pay for evermore.
Forward these attempts of extortion to your Public Utilities Commission, and demand that Charter be thrown out of your community forever. YES WE CAN! YES WE CAN!!!
They tried to pull the same crap on me, and they will regret it.
