On January 17, 2014 my family and my husband's brother and family thought we would be flying out of Spokane, WA on Allegiant Air flight #1065 to Honolulu, HI.  The flight was delayed "due to fog".  Allegiant kept us at the airport all day Friday promising that we would be flying out shortly.  At 6 pm they rescheduled the flight for Saturday at 12:30 pm.  We had to get a hotel room for the night.  We again arrived at the airport on Saturday hoping to fly out.  Again the flight was delayed all day "due to fog." 

After spending 2 full days at the airport with 4 kids we were frustrated.  Allegiant's customer service refused to help or answer questions.  At the end of the day Allegiant cancelled the flight.  At this point we reserved flights on a different airline so we could get to Honolulu to meet my husband's birth father who was waiting for us.  I then contacted Allegiant to refund my money for this trip since they did not provide the service.  They refused to refund our money or help in any manner. 

We again had to spend another night in Spokane which Allegiant would not compensate.  During these 2 days at the airport Allegiant lead us along to believe that we would be leaving at any time so we had to stay at the airport.  Also every other airline was able to land safely and depart safely.  This brings to question why Allegiant was unable to land?We were told that Allegiant is not equipped to land in the fog!  If they are not equipped to land in the fog what else can they not do?  Are they safe to be flying passengers? 

Due to Allegiant's ill equipped plane I had to reserve a whole new trip which put strain on us since we had saved for the first trip.  At no point did Allegiant Air take accountability or apologize for this.  Also we had a room in Honolulu for Friday and Saturday that we were unable to stay at since we were stuck in Honolulu.  Allegiant also refused to refund this.  Since Allegiant Air did not get us to Honolulu we were unable to make the return flight from Honolulu to Spokane.  Again a service we did not use that Allegiant did not refund!  I am very dissatified with the horrible customer service of Allegiant Air.  I can not image how they can operate without any regard to their paying customers.
