I recently became a victim at the hands of ALC. I agree that there sales tactics are manipulative, but they shouldn't offer you certain expected results especially since there is no written proof that laser is 100% permanent. Upon going under contract I asked whether there was a physician or R.N. nurse on staff, and they assured me that there manager was medically trained. I had also informed them that I had received laser treatment for two years prior to this under a dermatologists care and that I was simply looking to see whether an alternate laser might work better for me. I also advised them of all medical procedures, allergies, and medication I was on. I also told them that I had never used shaving as a means of removing hair because I had developed a bad reaction to razors metal when I was younger and was advised to use other means of hair removal by my doctor.

So, since they require you to shave before each treatment, they advised me to make sure that the hair was cut to atleast 1/2 inch. When I asked the technician why I had to do this she stated that if there is hair in the area of treatment the laser will not hit the root. This statement is simply absurd because from past experience as well as some research on my own part I learned that the laser hits the root to impede the hair growth and causes the root to fall regardless of hair on the surface of the skin.

Anyways, upon receiveing my first treatment I got burned and thought that it was just a bad reaction to their product. Not only that it had clearly been two weeks and no hair had fallen out. So I called the center and told them what had happened and they asked me to come in. When I went in they assured me that they would treat the area again and the manager said herself that she could see the burn scars on my face and offered to treat me herself. Then she tried to sale me some other package deal to help get rid of the uneven skin pigmentation that was as a result of their laser to begin with.

I was in such disbelief that they visibly see that there is a problem and they slyly try to take advantage of you even more by taking more money from you to solve a problem that they caused in the first place. I pleaded with the manager to discontinue treatment because I had such a bad reaction and she stated that " the skin on your face is sensitive, once you do the procedure on your legs and other areas you wont have the same problem, plus she clearly told me that my skin color and fine thin hair was the best compatibility for their laser.

After hearing this I felt a bit reassured that this could possibly be a slight side effect and because I felt so vulnerable and desperate for a resolution I did a second treatment on my leg, which became infected. To top it all off no hair actually fell out. I am just left with scars, heavy dose of antiobiotics, and doctors bills for treatment.

This company truly does a fine job of training blood sucking leeches to do their dirty work for them. Now I am left with a bill of $5000, and I have only received one treatment in two seperate areas. So all beware. Do Not fall for their malicious scheme. And be sure not to fall for their so called 50% rule, where they slash your prices in half if you do other body parts. I was trying to be cautious and not be swindled by doing a little research before I went in and look what happened to me. As of now I am taking my case to the attorney generals office to see how this matter can be solved, so other people dont fall victim to such a scheme.
