AT&T TOLD ME BACK IN APRIL 2012 THAT THEY HAD THE ABILITY TO BLOCK COMMERCIAL TEXT MESSAGES FROM BEING SENT TO MY CELL PHONE FROM OTHER COMPANIES.
HOWEVER ON MAY 29, JUN 10 AND JUN 15 I RECEIVED 3 TEXT MESSAGES FROM BEST BUY MY CELL PHONE NUMBER IS ON THE FTC NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY
I AM IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT AGAINST AT&T AND BEST BUY FOR VIOLATING THE FTC TELEMARKETING SALES RULES AS WELL AS THE TCPA ACT
I NEVER GAVE MY CELL PHONE TO BEST BUY.
AT&T REFUSES TO OFFER ANYTHING TO SETTLE THIS MATTER OTHER THAN $20 AND A NEW CELL NUMBER
AT&T BENEFITS FROM THESE COMMERCIAL ADS BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE DO NOT BOTHER ASKING FOR CREDIT FOR THESE TEXTS
BEST BUY BENEFITS FROM THE ADVERTISING BECAUSE IT BRINGS CUSTOMERS INTO THE STORE
THE LAW ALLOWS ME TO SUE AT&T AND BEST BUY FOR $500 FOR VIOLATING STATE LAW AND AN ADDITIONAL $500 FOR VIOLATING FEDERAL LAW FOR EACH VIOLATION OR PER CALL, IF IT WAS INTENTIONAL TRIPLE DAMAGES PLUS COURT COSTS
I AM NOT GOING TO ACCEPT ONLY $20 FROM AT&T it is time for AT&T TO PAY UP AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS NONSENSE

Unless its changed recently, it doesn't apply to text messages. It applies to phone calls. I"m also not sure they have added cell phones to it, I know there was legislation in the works for cell phones.
Why didn't you just unsubscribe from the text messages? These commercial text messages have unsubscribe information at the bottom. The only way they could even get your number in their system was if someone gave it to them. You didn't even have to give it to them, I could sign up for something and give them your cell phone number.
Over-react much over 3 text messages in 2 months?
