My daughter purchased her phone at the military exchange. They sold her on the "military" phone insurance that was "so" much better than the Verizon insurance. They said it covered 2 phones a year with a deductible. Turns out you only get one broken claim and the other has to be a mechanical issue. If it is a mechanical issue the phone manufacturer has its own, why would we need to buy more? Then to top it off it doesn't go into affect at the time you pay the $200 insurance payment. It goes into affect 15 days after. Which this isn't told at the time. The phone wasn't turning on a couple days after purchase and she was trying to get the phone to turn on and it slipped and dropped. I got the paper in the mail with the contract info and called asking why it says it isn't starting coverage on day one. CSP Gus said he didn't know why it said that but it is covered from day one. At this point she dropped the phone. We called the next day to file the claim and CSP Max said to call back in two days because accident coverage doesn't start day one. I called back in two days and was summarily denied saying it has to be broken AFTER 15 days, which is not what the contract says nor what's CSP Max said. Had all this been told at the time of sale we would have stuck with our good, no hassle Verizon insurance. The supervisor, Juan was not helpful nor was he able to connect me to a manager. He gave me a phone number to get my money back but the number doesn't work! They are ripping people off by lying to customers and not providing service from day one. People who have issues before they get the information in the mail are getting ripped off because they don't even know they don't get coverage!

I received a call from the BWG service supervisor who was very helpful in resolving this issue. At this point we are sending th phone in for repair, as Ms. Padgett directed. I am confident that the phone will be fixed or replaced in the spirit of the warranty contract. Thank you Ms. Padgett for your assistance with this matter.
