Bbt has consistantly mislead and charged me fees for nothing. I stopped the imagined overdraft protection when i realized they charged me 70.00 for $.08 cents and another 70.00 for another transaction that totaled under $5.00. They have consistantly charged me from 170.00 to 300.00 a month in fees for the past 4 months.
This month there is a fee for 140.00 and i click on it to read that the fee is for "zero transations for zero dollars" and another for 70.00 that states "zero transactions and zero dollars"
I am disabled and know they are taking advantage of that. I have called the 800# and the branch, where i am not helped to understand the reason for the charges just assured that they are legal? Bbt has placed me in a disparitive state with their fees please help!

What kind of your account do you have? I believe each bank has its own policy for each account type.
I agree that the over draft protection is a scam and many people bought into it because of the word "protection" which is actually for the bank, not for the account holder. However, regardless the over draft amount, the account holder WILL be charged the same. So the amount you over draft is also irrelevant in the report. It is that you did not balance your book well and thought that a couple cents would not hurt. It is not true for the bank and account holders must be careful on this.
PS: Please drop the "disable" mind set that anyone out there is targeting ONLY disability people. This information is irrelevant.
