Belkin Ripoff! Total frauds! Compton california

Never ever buy any products from Belkin. Back in June I purchased a new ethernet card and was unable to get the darn thing to install the software. I called tech support for help, we went throught several attempts to get the software loaded. After the fourth time, the computer restarted and then a message came up stating that windows was corrupt you need to reload windows. The tech guy said just go ahead and re install and everything will be fine. Wrong, when Windows was re installed, all the data was lost.

The orginal programs and files were listed but nothing would open. Belkin agreed to have the drive sent to a data recovery company the use for such problems. Sent the drive to them. Was called backed and told by the company that this was not in the scope of the contract they had with Belkin and then sent the drive back. I called belkin and they said it was a mistake of that companys part and they were issuing a call tag to have it sent back to the data recovery people.

Nearly a week later I call up the data recovery people and they tell me they have never recieved the drive. They ask for the tracing numbers, and promptly tell me that package was delivered to Belkin's Corporate Office. So I call Belkin and get rather pissed that they can not seem to find the drive. The next day, they find the drive and have it shipped to the data people. Another week later I get a report back from them. Not only is there nothing much to send back but things are totally fishy.

For starters, there are programs loaded on the drive that were newer versions of the software. My video driver software was the latest version, which was released during the week Belkin had physical posession of the drive. So rather than paying the claim for the damages, they claim with the support of the data entry people that the drive was used after the incident. When I talked to the data recovery people and told them this, they claimed that I was not their customer and would not talk further about it. This company is a scam.
