I got side swipped by a 18 wheeler that was in the middle of the road coming into a curve. I couldn't never get in touch with the person handling my claim always an answering service. Noone else would talk to me about my claim until finally they told me that the person no longer worked there.
Ultimately Geico paid the truck driver $2,000 for damages to his gas tank but did pay any medical bills or for repairs on a totaled car because they said I didn't have COLLISION COVERAGE but there was no collision he sided me with his gas tank, obviously thats what they paid for, only the driver's side of the car was damaged. On top of everything else my accident report was wrong it was written up if I ran into the left side of the truck, I was hurt and left with no car and bills to pay.
Thanks Geico for taking my money!

Based on the information you had given, you were at-fault in that accident. You admit yourself that the police report was wrong. The insurance do go by the police report. If the report says that you were at fault, then GEICO is responsible for the damages on the truck and your car would need collision coverage to fix your car. GEICO would not have paid for the truck if you were not at-fault because the liable driver would have been the truck driver. Instead of blaming the insurance company for doing what they were suppose to do based on the information they were given, you should had tried to get the police report corrected.
