I am tired of being the "Redheaded Stepchild of Cingular". Ever since the "merger" with AT&T and Cingular, I have been treated like a low-class customer. Nothing the CSR's have done. I know they have their orders. They have tough jobs, that is they have to be courteous but let us know what are options are. They cannot let on that Cingular management is putting on the brakes to AT&T customers.

I truly believe they are sabotaging the existing cell phones I am using. They are at least crippling them for short periods of time. December 2005, I contacted customer service complaining not being able to send text messages. After about the sixth time complaining about this problem, Cingular said the tech department would contact me. Surprisingly I was able to text message one day (about 3-4 weeks later). Guess what else! Cingular customers no longer had to dial the local area code any more. Imagine that! You cannot tell me the problem was with my phones (both lines).

You see I have not given in to using a phone with a sim card. They have been pushing me to do so. This of course would require signing a new contract with Cingular. I don't want to as I would lose a huge amount of minutes. Cingular can't even come close.

Now my second phone line often says "No Service" and is not any good for using during the evening hours. However, resumes working the next day. Half the time my phone line (the main phone line or user) states to callers that I am "not accepting calls at this time". You just have to keep calling me and eventually you can get through.

I am tired of this treatment and want someone to do something about this. AT&T where are you? I know you sold your wireless portion of your company to Cingular. AT&T whatever you have made yourself, why have you turned your back on your faithful customers. Why didn't you have some good old American values and trust to make sure your AT&T customers we were valued and treated right? How can we call you up when you advertise your new company services and try to sell different services to us again? I would feel uncomfortable to do business with either by the actions of both AT&T and Cingular.
