Citicard Come on letter to order card a phony, Internet

what a phony they can be. Sent me a letter offering citi amex card at no fee so long as i keep my citi m/c. Got it and used it. Then yesterday i see they charged an $85 annual fee. When i called, they asked me to fax them copy of letter, which i did. The customer svce guy turns me over to supervisor Ron after being on hold for 8 minutes. Ron comes on with opening statement "i understand you want to close your account" I said NO, just cancel the annual fee per the letter. He said he would then close the account, which he did. Again, what a phony scam
