Citifinancial fraudulently filed on my credit report. Internet
*Consumer Comment: Citifinancial aka arcadia financial
*Consumer Suggestion: Citifinancial are Thieves !
*Consumer Suggestion: You could be a victim of identity theft
I am trying to buy a home. The finance company accomplished a credit report for me and citifinancial was listed. It showed a balance of $1,664. I have never had an account with this company. I would remember any purchase of that amount.
The finance company gave me a phone number from thier list but it is not a working number. I checked on line without any luck. It is as if they don't want you to get ahold of them unless you want to place an application.
Can anyone HELP?

Citifinancial are Thieves !

No, your NOT a victim of identity theft. Your a victim of Citigroup
They post info on your credit report that they know is incorrect so that your credit is ruined and try to force you to stay with them, or send them money.
They also try to steal money from people that haven't got an account with them by ruining your credit and " If you pay us, we can report that matter paid "
They will NOT fix your credit report for you. send a letter to all 3 credit reporting companies and DEMAND in writing to see the proof of money owed to Citigroup.
Then demand that they remove this info or THEY will be sued also.
Citigroup likes to ruin people's credit because it puts you in a position that they can steal from you and cost you cash losses
They did it to me also. They are thieves
Yahoo now ( 7-8-07 ) has an ad on their web based email for Citigroup. Take the yahoo survey and respond about Citigroup's actions and tell yahoo that you won't be using them unless Citigroup is removed from their site. BOYCOTT yahoo because of Citigroup. Let's cause citgroup some problems like they have done to all of us.
DO IT PEOPLE. it's time to deal with citigroup

You could be a victim of identity theft

I was reading your complaint, and you mentioned you never had an account with Citifinancial. As an experienced professional in the industry it sounds like one of two things has happened.
1. You could be a victim of identity theft
2. Citifinancial is one of the largest lenders in this country and they may have took over an account from another company you used to do business with. Did you try www.citi.com? www.citigroup.com? or www.citifinancial.com?
You said you didn't see anything listed on the internet, well the 3 sites I list I found in less than 90 seconds!
Either way they gained access to your information some type of way!
Is there anyone else in your family with the same first and last name? This is a common problem.
Good luck, the sites I mentioned are all under the same umbrella...This should be a start...
