Consumer Protection Assistance Coalition/Gary L. Lane This so-called law office is free to steal your money by falsely stating that they will work for the consumer to save their home. They did nothing to help me. Just took my $7500.00 and expected me to deal with it. Santa Ana California

      I would like to take the time to warn the people that are trying desperately to save their home, to stay away from CPAC. They are a bunch of criminals that took $7500.00 of my money and did absolutly nothing but sit on their a**es and count the money that they scammed off of many trusting people.  In March, 2011, I was looking on the internet for help to remodify my home loan from an interest-only to a conventional loan with lower interest.  They must have been lurking on the web site to find their prey, because they contacted me over the internet even when I did not request for them to.  I was really desperate to keep my home so I wanted to know more about their services. I received a packet in the mail and I read it.

      A man named Robert was my first phone contact. He gave me a very convincing story that CPAC was a non- profit organization  and they were there to "help people" from getting ripped off from lenders.  Then I spoke to another man named Kahala who seemed very sincere and helpful. He told me that he needed to run off the information on my home loan to see if there were illegal issues to address.  I received a print out of the so-called illegal things on my loan. He told me that the only way they could help me was for me to pay them $7500.00 and my chances of winning the case was very very high. Yes I know I shouldn't have paid them, but I was desperate and my mortgage company would not help me because my home was under water. I thought it was worth the money to save my home.  I checked all of the resources about their reputation and I only found 1 complaint. So I stupidly became their trusting client. Now there are sooooo many complaints about CPAC I don't think anyone could even count them!!! 

     At first I was getting responses from CPAC. A little while after I paid them, the customer service became less and less.

 I basically stopped hearing from them so I called and called. Every once in a while I could get ahold of people who seemed disintrested or even confused!!!  This crap went on and on for 18 months. I was told that my case would be taken care of in 6 months tops. Finally, I e-mailed Gary L. Lane and LET HIM HAVE IT with all of the negative information I told him about his staff.  He of course defended them and did nothing as well.  Why should he do anything for me now?  I already paid him for NOTHING.  What a way to make a living right? I might as well have taken a can of gasoline and lit a match to the money. What a waste.

     Well, as time went on, I still kept trying to call or e-mail or anything to get a hold of someone at CPAC but they would not return my e-mails or calls. I figured the staff must have had strict orders from Gary Lane not to have any contact with me since I may have "stirred up some trouble".  You bet I stirred up some trouble after paying them $7500.00!!!!  They would have done the same thing.

     I sent a certified letter to CPAC demanding my money back, but of course no luck.  I finally gave up and moved on. I know that's what they wanted, but I can't pay another lawyer to do the same.........nothing!!! They deserve to be sued and to go out-of-business.

     If anyone knows of a CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT, I want in on it immediatly.
