I returned cle when it was delivered to Coxa lease vehicle to Cox Chevrolet and leased a new one. The Salesman looked over the trade in and I got my new truck. (Chevrolet Silverado). Two weeks later I was notified by GMAC that they received the vehicle damaged. There was no damage to the vehicle when it was delivered to Cox. When we called the salesman about the damage, his comment was "I don't want to be involved".
There was no documentation on any damage noted upon delivery. As a result of this problem my credit score has suffered drama I have told GMAC that if they show documented proof of damage upon delivery that I would pay for repair. They have not been able to produce any. This company has stonewalled this problem for a very long time and their Owner refuses to talk to me.

Whenever you turn in a lease vehicle, a full inspection is done which is prepared as a written report, of which a copy is to be provided to the person turning in a lease vehicle.
Did you get a copy of such a written inspection form?? If not, why not??
The leasing company requires that this inspection be completed. Was such an inspection done?? If not, why not??
If Cox accepted your lease turn in as a trade without doing the required inspection, that is on them.
My advice is to stay off the phone at this point, and do all complaints and disputes in writing and send via certified means.
By the means above, you can dispute any derogatory information on your credit report, and get it removed if they cannot prove the information to be accurate. This is federal law.
