Received a call this morning from a company that said they were from the Department of Legal Affairs and that they were a part of the Department of Treasury.  They were calli g about a legal matter that was being pursued against me, the gentleman spike with a foreign accent and was difficult to understand. He proceeded to enlighten me that he was doing me a favor by contacting me and wanted to know if I had an Attorney that would be handling my situation. When I requested that he explain the situation he started with some things that one could barely understand and thus to create confusion. When I asked the gentleman if I could speak with someone that I could understand or a supervisor he said he was it. Now that I understand he is the supervisor and hebcoukd not explain what information I needed to get from him I asked that he provide me with a number to the Washington D.C. office at Treasury,  he declined and being that I was a contractor for FEDERAL GOVERNMENT I called a few friends and they confirmed that there is no such Office and that these guys were breaking the Law. This is a ripoff and a scam and don't provide them with any information because they should already have it. Theses guys are Collection agencies that have purchased old debts and are trying to scare people into paying them again or payong them period. You probably don't owe anyone because they are scam artist. If the Federal Government is looking for you they will not call you from California and they will provide you with all thw information the first time they call.
