Direct Merchants Bank Suing me for unpaid credit card

I received a call from a lawyer stating Direct Merchant bank is suing me for an unpaid credit card from Feb. 18, 2014 in the amount of $1,190.00.

They then proceeded to tell me that if I did not pay this balance they would then proceed to take me to court.

Since I have never heard of this company and I have never applied for nor had a credit card or any other account with them, I decided to do some research.

Went through all of my invoices, statements and paperwork for the last 7 years and found that I was correct. I have never had any sort of dealings with these people.

I think this is actually a case of fraud or someone has stolen my identity. Don't know for sure which one it is but I do know that there is something seriously wrong going on here. They even had my date of birth and social security number. 

This lawyer stated I had 2 attempts to make this right before it goes to court.
