Below is an email sent to the FDIC today telling them I did not sign up after Discover (Brice Brown) told me he listened to the phone call himself and there was nothing I could do:

"I leave all of the credit card decisions up to my husband. I have never agreed to be enrolled into any payment protection plan. They have charged us every month since March of 2007. When my husband spoke to Brice Brown he said that there was nothing else we could do, his decision was final and that any letters would go to him. He said he would not play the audio for us and that his decision was final. He was rude and said there was no one else I could contact about the matter. Please help me out! All you have to do is a search online and see all of the other people they have taken advantage of. Now the charges made me go over my limit. I have never agreed to anything and I want to make sure this 'Brice Brown' does not do this to others. Please let me know what your investigation leads to."

Discover is all a scam. For them to let one person decide this and tell them there is NOTHING they can do and that any letters, emails, calls, etc. would go through him and that he already made his decision. I made it real easy and said "play me the conversation (where my wife agreed) and I'll agree with your decision and be done." Instead he said no cause all he had to do is hear it and he is the investigator. It would be real easy to just play it wouldn't it? If I had to guess, I would think he was bullied in school and no wonder he investigates credit cards and not real cases. Why wouldn't he just play it and show me that he is telling the truth? I hope people come forward and this idiot gets fired. He didn't even care that my wife and I both cancelled our card because of this. I would think he is supposed to resolve problems, not make people cancel them? My best friend, mom, dad and in-laws are all cancelling because of this. We have had like 20 different cards and never added payment protection to our account. I am contacting everyone I can and I do not care if it costs me $5,000 I will have my attorney sue to hear the tape. I can't wait to call Brice once I hear the so-called audio of my wife agreeing to this. Anyone know anything else I can do to get this credited back?
