We signed up for dish network by calling the dish network number on a TV commercial. Had a bad installation experience, and after multiple appointments that they missed, finally 3 weeks later a technician finally made it to our house to do the installation.

our order was for 1 duo box that can be used with 2 remotes for 2 tvs. We recieved what we asked for.

but when we got 1st bill they showed that we had 2 receivers and some other luso pack. they falsified our bill with all these extra stuff that we did not have. we called and the reps were being difficult in telling us that what the order shows is what we have. after hours on the phone and them finally doing their job to check our records, they finally realized we did not order the stuff on our bill. especially that we did not have 2 recievers. so they credit our bill and we thought that was the end of it.

our 1 duo reciever defected last month and we had to call for a replacement. we got our latest bill and it shows a charge for $175 for "reciever 2".....WHAT THE HECK....we never had a reciever 2.

we called and explained the whole history to the rep and she was adamant that we have 2 receivers....we asked for supervisor and he likewise was not trying to look into the situation. The he tells us that we need to resolve this situation about reciever 2 with Allsat.....WHO???? yeah, we never heard of this company and he claims we placed our order through them. NO WE DID NOT. we called dish network from their tv ad. so he gave us a bogus website address and phone number that did not work and redirected right back to dish network. we asked to talk to his manager and again same billigerent attitude claiming that we had 2 receivers.

we asked about verification that 2 receivers were activated on the day of the installation and the signed order. they claim their records show 2 activations and the signed order has 2 receivers on it. we asked for those records to be mailed to us. we got transferred to a corporate person to request the papers.

we cannot believe Dish Network is so fradulant. we only have a 1 bedroom, 1 living room small brooklyn apartment with only the 2 tvs. if their records show that we have 1 duo receiver, what the heck would we want a second reciever for!!!

We want to seek legal action if this is not resolved. I have heard of stuff like this happening with the cable companies, its time for a class action lawsuit!!!
