My complaint is the same as everyone elses! The loan calculator is incorrect and I hadn't noticed until I read this here from another member. My car is an 01 and by the time I finish paying for it; I will have paid more than $18,000 for it! They will not post your payment on time so they can charge late fees and that's when they begin the acceleration process. One payment they didn't post at all! My spouse had to get a bank statement to varify that the payment was received ( By Them-On Time ) but they would not cancel the charges. Now this late fee charge is reflecting $490.00 in arrearage. What's even more aggrevating about this company is the fact the closer you get to having the vehical paid for, the worse they get! The annoying phone calls 24/7, the extra fees they come up with each time you speak with them and so on. I've tried to hold up my end of the bargin but they won't let me! Example; I've paid almost $15,000.00 for a vehical that's only worth approx $4000.00 and that's what I still owe! I was going to try weathering the storm and honor my contract, but this is rediculous; because after each payment, I either owe more or the same as last month. If there is a lawsuit pending, PLEASE include my complaint! Thank you for your time.

Drive is a sub-prime lender, who finances people with credit issues who probably could not get financed through other companies. Because of this increased risk do they have a higher interest rate..Yes. But no matter what method they use to calculate the interest your balance will decrease over time. That is if you make your payments ON-TIME each and every time. If you pay late, yes even 1 day late, they will assess you additional fees and interest.

The only reason they would be calling you is if you are late, they have no reason to call people that are current. I can also guarantee you that they are not calling you 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

The only thing that you may have on your side is if you have proof that they received the payment(not you sending it) on-time and still charged you a late fee. In this case it may be simpler to just file a small claims case against them if you truly believe that you are right and have the proof. Because if you just sit on your butt and wait for someone else to file a Suit and then get Class Status you are going to get next to nothing if there is a settlement. In addition you are hoping that everyone else who says that they want to "join a Class Action Suit", will start one but they are just going to sit on their butts waiting on someone else. In the end you just have a lot of people doing nothing.
