It's true that I answered a survey saying that i'd like free tickets to Universal Orlando. This gave e tour the right to call me. Which they did.

The salesperson said I would get this great vacation in orlando and daytona with optional side trips to Kennedy Space Center. I said there were 5 in my family. She said "no problem" I said we couldn't afford to fly all of us to Florida, she said "You'll get vouchers for $100 off" She even had me talk to her supervisor who said he was looking at a screen on his computer that showed tickets for $140 plus don't forget, "you get $100 off". The long and short is that this sounded really good. My husband is a pastor and we don't get to take our kids on vacations like this. So, I finally agreed somewhat hesitantly, that i'd charge the roughly $400 dollars. When the verifier read the terms back I noticed the 90 minute tour of a resort. I said "wait a minute, is this a time share tour? Because I don't want to buy any condo" She corrected me and said "they are villas!" I said, "No! I don't want to purchase this vacation deal" The phone went dead! In a minute the same old supervisor called me back! When I told him I didn't want to purchase the vacation he told me the credit card had already been charged and this was just the reciept! He also said I'd have 15 days to cancel if I really changed my mind. I reluctantly agreed since I figured i'd be able to cancel.

After receiving thier info in the mail and then going to the website I realized that none of the promises that the salesperson or the supervisor had made were in writing. E tour makes it very clear that only the things that are in writing are what you should count on. I couldn't find anything on the website about how to get tickets to the optional attractions much less about the cost. I never did see airfare for less than $250, and the $100 vouchers really came to $25/ticket if the original price of the ticket was over $2 0r 300 dollars!

I called to cancel the vacation package. The customer service rep absolutely refused to take "refund my money" for an answer! After I threatened going to the bbb and after I was sooo angry I could hardly contain myself, I told her I was now getting my husband on the phone with me. She was rude, disrespectful and downright unbearable to both of us. After probably 15 minutes she finally relented and agreed to credit our card.

I am hopeful that this is the end of this embarressing episode for us. I only hope that it's not my mom or grandma whom e-tour calls next. If I hadn't have had my mind made up that I wasn't getting off that phone without getting my money back I'm quite sure this rep would have convinced me to "try it" or give it a little more time or pay on a payment plan instead.
