Chris, you are a real "dolt". You sound dumber than a box of rocks. Let me tell you something and the moron that claimed that it is illegal to sell a car for more than MSRP. He's as dumb as you are!
Understand this...a dealership owns a vehicle and can sell it to you or not. I'm a salesman and I don't have to sell you any of our cars on the lot if I don't want to.
Furthermore, the dealership can sell the vehicle for any (say again, "any") price that they wish. Do you boys and girls know what MSRP stands for??
Manufacturer's (here's the real clue coming up)
SUGGESTED Selling Price. I can sell it for more or for less. I know several dealers that put what we call "addendums" on the window of every car and mark them up $5,000 over sticker. If you don't like it my friend, go somewhere else. The car business is based on supply and demand. When the new Chevy SSR's came out, dealers were selling them for $10,000 over sticker. Similar with some Corvettes, etc.
It amazes me how many experts there are out there and most of you really embarass yourselves. Your ignorance makes me feel sorry for you. Therefore, unless you have all of the fact correct, save your sad stories!!
P.S. Take a spelling lesson Chris or get off the dope your smoking. Your comments make you sound like you are retarded. I have no interest in Elmore Toyota at all. If you were a serious buyer, you would have spoken to a manager. You sound like one of our frequent "wannabe buyers"!!

I apologize about my bad grammar because english is my second language. It must be all those typo. Anyway, what do you except from a college dropout doing network engineer work right. As for my fellow Little Saigon friends, I don't even trust my own people. Just happen that they also work at the dealer, and try to rip me off. Question, why you think I didn't want to buy a used car from them?

Chris & David Need To Get English Lessons

1st you both need to learn how to speak and write in english...
2nd It is illegal for a dealership to not have a sticker on a new car...Quick question...If the sticker was not on the car how in the hell did you know that he was quoting you a price $5000 above window sticker? Does not make sense...Must be a BLONDE thing
3rd David your the reason why many people get shafted...You Wrote: "But when I thought about my car with a bad transmission. I smile. I still got a good deal from a crooked dealer" This makes you just as bad as the alleged crooked dealer my asian friend.
You would be crying foul if they did this to you on a used car! In fact you are doing this to one of your fellow Little Saigon friends...Think...Who is going to buy your trade...The one with the bad transmission you laughed about? You are just as bad as some of these crooked dealers on this website!

Elmore Toyota got sucker - gave them a little taste of their own medicine

Well, I heard complaint about Elmore Toyota. But I gave them a little taste of their own medicine. Crooker salesmand and dishonest dealer get what they deserver from me. I trade a screw up car for a brand new 05 Corolla XRS. The sales manager said he will knock off a $1000 from the sticker which is $19670. Take in my car for $1000 plus $500 rebate. But when I get ready to sign the paperworks. I saw the price on the PO. It was price at $19670 instead of $18670. I told the finance guy it suppose to be $18670 not $19670. He called the sales manager into the office. The jerk off told me, "Take it or leave it Bro." Then he decide to give me $300 off just to make me happy and refer customer to him. I was upset a little bit. But when I thought about my car with a bad transmission. I smile. I still got a good deal from a crooked dealer.

You did EXACTLY the right thing! You walked out!
Many, many people would have rewarded them by doing business with them anyway. I can tell you are not a sucker, a chump or any of the other loosers who become a doormat for fraud and deception and then reward the perpetrator of the CRIMINAL FRAUD!
No, don't call Judy or anybody. They tried to DEFRAUD you. You caught them in their DECEPTION. Simply spread the word!

Solving your Elmore Toyota issue
AUTHOR: Bill - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Saturday, July 10, 2004
I have purchased three vehicles from Elmore and would do so again. I suggest that if you feel you were not treated properly, you contact Judy Elmore, the owner, who really does care how her company treats people. I did exactly that before I bought my third vehicle, and I received special attention from a manager instead of simply walking on and dealing with a salesman.

It's illegal for them to remove the factory sticker.
AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Friday, April 04, 2003
If that's the case (there was no MSRP sticker on a new car) you should complain to FTC, etc. It's not illegal to ask for $5000 more than MSRP, but with the sticker there the authorities assume most people would figure out what is happening.
