Express van lines las Vegas nv Completely scammed us... Stile half our items , and destroyed my expensive furniture... Dumped in a storage unit that we had to locate ! Las Vegas , Nevada

We hired express vanlines to move our house from las Vegas to Texas and Missouri . The company gave us 2 estimates both around 4k each. After loading our entire house full of furniture they told us the price was over 16 k. At this point it it 10 and we are exhausted from packing and loading the truck. We were rushed to sign contract papers which were folded over and in the dark ( of course while my 1 year old is crying as a distraction) .. our stuff was promised to be delivered 3 days later at a specific time. So we had to pay for last minute plane tickets to meet them for delivery. The house was left a mess . I received a call from the tenant who took pictures of 24 coke cans, 20 water bottles , 15 tape rolls, boxes, KFC food, and Chinese food that they left all over the home while packing. That is the smallest of our problems! Delivery date came and passed .. No delivery. Talked to " Benny" who had every excuse in the world .... Told it would be there the next day.. Took another day off work to find there was no delivery . This went on for 9 days . My 1 year old child and I are eating the expense of a hotel and alternating with sleeping on the floor as the movers have all of our stuff and took all of our money up front . When we finally put our foot down about the 100000 excuses the owner " Benny" started blaming another company that he had COnTRAcTed!! This is another problem because we were promised that he was moving our stuff w a company truck and no one else would share the truck with us .. LIAR!

His response was always " I'm gonna kill those f@@@@@$ when I find your stuff" I can't believe they would do this .. by Friday the following week his excuse was the delivery guys are Jewish and don't work on Friday or Saturday . Ok I will respect that. I'm open minded. All to find out that they do work those days because my stuff ( valued at over 200k) was dumped in a local storage unit near my home. Rented by a driver named Freddy. This information was not disclosed to me until the following Tuesday when I demanded a delivery date.. His response was.. Go get your fuc&&&$ stuff, it's in a storage unit just like u wanted.. Well my stuff was suppose to be split between storage and my house. I was told it was in good condition and secure in storage. When the next company came to unload and deliver ( after I seeked legal advice) I found my stuff thrown in a unit and completely destroyed.. Every piece of furniture was damaged and I am missing all of my tools, jewelry, and electronics.. Oh and a 5k desk ( how did they think I wouldn't miss that) .. My 60 in tv was broken and they had unwrapped all of the furniture but tried to charge me 25 dollars per moving blanket x60 +. They also broke the slate on my pool table. The best part is they had us somehow sign a contract where they only replace .60 to the pound ( which means my 5 k dollar desk that weighs 200 pounds is only worth 120.00) or the 10 pound stereo which will equal 6.00 dollars!

Now to the next problem.

The shipment to Missouri still has not arrived .. He claims part is in storage 1 mile from our other home and 30 percent got left in Vegas bc the 2nd truck he moved stuff to was full . He is refusing to tell us where the stuff is and refusing to deliver unless we pay him more money. We had a binding contract and paid him upfront. He took our money and our belongings....

When we ask him where to file claims for missing and damaged stuff we get nothing in response !

This company has been reported to the transportation administration by me! I am also filing a civil suit in hope to recover some of my lost stuff and deal with his fake " contract". ( read it closely bc it's not even his companies contract- he folds it down sO you can not see the other name .

After the fact I have now started researching them and have been told that they are not even licensed to be able to move people.... The dot number is just a filing number and was never completed!

PLEASE do not put yourself in this situation. My family will struggle to recover the money we spent trying to move( trusting someone to reduce the stress all to cause 100% more) . It will take many years to replace my items as it took me many hard working years to purchase them... The materialistic stuff is hard but my family treasures are lost forever !

It is easy and the most effective if we want to stop these scammers!

I think Express Vanline is about to change names again.  They have changed names many times before to avoid issues for at least 10 years now. All their companies addresses and numbers intermingle.

Not False!!

Beware that "Express Van Lines" is only 1 of 5 or more names this company has used trying to avoid reports, complaints and legal issues.  Be sure to report them to and the Nevada Transportation Admin and the Las Vegas Attorney General!  They are Non Americans with no values on how they treat us. Please help us get them shut down.

I had a similar experience with this same company.  I am also filing a report of my own with more details.  This company doesnt' have any Americans that work there. I think they are all from the middle east and they have no customer service.  They lied to my face about many things, they will easily lie about this report being false!

Our experience with Express Van Line was very awkward.  Our foreman asked me to drive him in MY vehicle to this guy who was providing him 2 illegal workers to come help him load our stuff.  Our foreman didnt want the owner of that company to know he was taking 2 guys so he wouldnt be seen and asked me to go in and get them.  Does this seem professional?  The 2 helpers seemed inexperienced and confused on how to protect and handle our items well.  I had a bad feeling, but I felt trapped as I had to be back to work in Colorado in two days from then and our house was being sold before I could return to Arizona or book another mover. 

I feel he really took advantage of this situation and he must have been mad at us or something to treat our things so badly and cause so much damage.  What was very frustrating was clear communication with Alex the foreman or customer service at Express Van Line was very difficult.  Of many conversations I cannot say I ever felt like they listened to, or understood any of my concerns.  They are quick to cut you off and give you a scripted answer that does not correlate to your concern.  I rate their customer service a 0 for sure.  I have never been so miss-treated and any attempt to talk to them was met with closed ears.  In fact I had to put a lot of effort into getting ahold of them by phone or email.  It was a nightmare!  It took over 30 days to get ahold of them and learn that I needed to submit my claim to CSI and not them.

They will try to charge a ton of extra fees once they are there.  This takes your original estimate and multiplies it by 3 or 4.  Then as he is informing me of all these extra fees, I asked him where these fees are listed. His reply was they are on the website and I can take it up with them later.  These fees are not disclosed on the website!  I have since checked and called only to find that they wont listen to any concerns, they cut me off and said I have to deal with Alex directly, they will not help.  Check  Also check the address and phone number to be sure you are looking at the correct company for amount of complaints.  Also be sure the company is registered on and not inactive.

Also our things were stored in a hot storage unit in Phoenix, AZ when we were told that it would be in climate controlled storage in Colorado or Nevada.  This caused many of our electronics to not work and things like candles, etc. were all melted.  They caused over $8,000 in damages and I have worked hard to get them to offer a $130 settlement.  I will have spent a total of $13,000 because I used them.  PLEASE USE SOMEONE ELSE THAT HAS A GOOD REPUTATION.
