Factory Outlet Store I was sold a GPS unit because the sales rep said I would get a $200.00 rebate on line. I never existed. Syosset New York

I ordered a GPS unit because the sales rep said I could get a $200.00 rebate on line.  He stated he would also mail it to me.  I did not get the link on line nor did I get the coupon to fill out and send back.

One week later I called regarding the rebate.  The customer service person put me on hold to find out the details.  She said their sales rep could not send anything out and they do not send links for rebates.  She said I had to go on line to Garmin and call them for the rebate. She put me on hold again. 

Then she said the rebate as only good for that day of the order.  She said the rebate period was over.  I could no longer get the credit back.  

I said I wanted a refund for the purchase.  She said I had to mail it back then get a credit. She said I had to pay the postage.  I asked them to send me a return  postage slip so I could return the unit.  I was placed on hold again then she agreeed to send via email the postage return slip in the next 24 hours. 

The unit was on sale locally for $50.00 cheaper.  The only reason I ordered it was because of the $200.00 rebate which I can no longer get.
