Federal Government Grant Processing Center ripoff St Petersburg Florida

At about 3:40 on Sept 19, 2004 I received a phone call from the Federal Government Grant Processing Center informing me that I had been awarded a grant of $8000.00 by the Government. The man on the phone had an Indian dialect and was very persistent that he was not scamming us and that we could get all of the info from the verification department that he was about to transfer me to. He could not give me a phone number to call him back at and it sounded fairly pecular when he said his name was Shane Williams just because of his speech. I refused to give out any info until I received the paperwork. He gave me an address of PO Box 408003 St Petersburg FL. I immediately gave the phone to my husband after argueing for several minutes with the man. My husband works in a call center and asked several questions that the man could not answer. He then told them that he was on to them and not to call us ever again. I then logged on to the web and typed in the business name that they gave me in google and the first and second ad were more people verifying the same thing had happened to them. I am going to contact our phone company to try and get a phone number.
