On Saturday February 20, 2016 I was lucky enough to be one of the few to purchase a pair of Kanye Wests Adidas Yeezy Boost 350.  My confimration email was sent right away and the next day on Sunday I received a shipping confirmation email from Adidas with a FedEx tracking number.

My package was set to be delivered on Thursday Feb. 25th, and all day I was eagerly tracking my package through the Fedex Website. Around 4pm I see the status of my package changed to "No scheduled Delivery date Available at this time". This seemed very weird to me because Bloomington CA is only about 25 minutes away from where my package was supposed to be delivered. I decided to wait until Monday Feb 29 before panicking.  On Monday I noticed that my shoes were still stuck in Bloomington, CA with no scheduled delivery date. It was obviously now time to worry and I called FEDEX to see why my package had not arrived.  FedEx had no idea why my package had not made onto the delivery truck on Thursday February 25 but they asked me to give them a couple of days to figure it out.

March 1, 2016 I receive a call from Fedex to let me know that they had returned the package to the shipper and that I needed to contact Adidas for a replacement package.  I immediately hung up and was about to call Adidas but I realized that FEDEX had not given me enough information regarding my package being sent back to Adidas.  I called FEDEX back and asked them to give me a tracking number for the package that was being returned to Adidas and she put me on hold. When she comes back on the phone she rudely tells me that my package was actually "lost" and that I needed to contact the shipper.

I called Adidas and notified them of what FedEx said to me, and Adidas consumer relations has since filed a claim with FedEx to see if they can get anymore information on my package.

I could not understand how FedEx managed to lose my package and by this time I was furious so I called FedEx again and asked for a detailed explanation as to what exactly happened to my package while under their care at the Bloomington FedEx location.  This time I heard a different story.  One of the customer service agents came on the phone and tried to explain that the reason that the package had not made it onto the truck for delivery was because the shipping label fell off of the package and they were unable to deliver it.  This sounds like a load of s**t because everyone knows that that a label that is stuck on a cardboard box doesn't just fall off of a box. She also explained that the box was not necessarily lost, but that it had been sent to a sorting facility and was waiting for Adidas to send a new shipping label.  Keep in mind that I already spoke to Adidas earlier in the day and they confirmed that the only course of action from here was to refund my money.

It is hard for me to understand that this package was "lost" at the Bloomington FEDEX location.  Those people working there know exactly what they were doing when they stole my package to resell my shoes for a profit. A Yeezy shoe is not a normal shoe that I can walk into a local footlocker and find on the shelf.  These shoes are highly coveted and they command top dollar on the secondary resale market for sneakers.  In the past couple of years the resale market for sneakers has become a billion dollar industry and the Adidas Yeezy is a major contributor to that market.

It is not enough for FedEx to simply tell me to ask Adidas for a new pair of shoes.  The issue is that the shoes are now sold out and can no longer be purchased for the retail price of $200 that I paid initially.  Pairs are now going for over $1,200 on sites like ebay.com and flightclub.com.  There are thieves working at the fedex facility in Bloomington and FedEx needs to address this issue and make things right with their customers.
