I have been a perfect customer for several years now and only had $40 bucks or less left on the account as owed in jan.  I keep track of all bills and what is paid on what days.  

Which January is the last time I had received a bill.  it is now march and I don't receive a bill but what i do receive its this letter stating that due to non payment my account has been sent to collections!!!  

I didn't understand this b/c of me not getting a bill in 2 months.  of course if I get a bill I pay it!!  

I call the number and the guy says oh ya someone sent it back saying not a good address.  I haven't moved at all in 5 years and I did receive this letter about them cancelling the card due to account being past due... so obviously the address is still good!!!!!!!!  He then tells me what I owe and asked how I want to pay it.  I said I don't want to pay anything until I see a actual bill.  So he has me call customer service (says he is just collections).  

Customer service number is the same number i had called when I talked to him?  

Next lady was just plain RUDE (her name was KIM).  She tells me this is my fault and that I should have known I wasn't receiving the bills!!!  Isn't that the whole point in a bill, to remind you what is owed and when it's due?????!!!!!!!!!! All she could say is "we sent the bill to the same address we have been"  which is not what the previous guy had said.  She wasn't showing that the bill was sent back to them!   She once again asked for a payment from me!

I once again said that I wasn't paying anything until I could see a bill and know that there were no additional charges added that I did not know about due to this whole problem.  She made me so angry, so I then asked for a customer service number or somebody else to talk to.  she tells me to call the credit people!  I said "no"  and that they have got to have some kind of customer service people there!  So she finally gives me a different number to call.

Next lady could see that the bill was sent back to them and said that the other lady (kim) just didn't read the notes on my account!  This last person I talked to basically said the same thing "that it is not their fault the bill was sent back".  Constantly blaming me for this!  I am not blaming anyone on the bill being sent back at all (obviously something with the post office people).  I am just saying that if I HAD received a bill at the right time, that it would be paid and this wouldn't be happening.  

If they look at my account it shows that I pay on time every time a bill is recieved.  She tells me there is nothing she can do and that it is now on my credit!!  All of this over $40!!!  These people are so disrespectful and just plain ignorant, I don't see how they are still in business!! I work in customer service and would NEVER treat any of my customers this way!!!  Horrible way to run any company  Customer service is supposed to HELP people and figure out a solution to whatever the problem may be.....not blame the customer for someone else mistake!!!!
