Frame Fixers Unprofessional attitude and attempted to change from credit card to COD Syracuse New York

I sent my RayBan frames to FrameFixers after getting a price of $12 for nose pads, $24 for ear sleeves and $38 to refinish frames. I asked for a quote on coating lenses for sun wear but they said I'd need new lenses for around $188. I said I'd charge this to my credit card and was a bit surprised when FF put the charge through immediately. 5 weeks later and no new glasses I started calling for updates.

August Cornell (if that is his real name!) said the lenses weren't back from the lab. I called every 5-6 days and after another 2 weeks called my credit card company to get the charge reversed.I did a 3 way call with August on the phone with the CC company. He became irrational and abusive saying he didn't trust me to pay and was going to send my frames back COD. Within 24 hours a box from FF withthe "repaired" glasses arrived, but the COD fee was another $35 so I refused the delivery because I'd have no recourse . COD means you can't inspect the contents before you pay! Gee, how did August Cornell know that?

He then sent severel e-mails threatening legal action, claiming to file a lien aganst me, racking up his legal fees and demanding that I pay his attorneys plus the charges for the glasses that I have never seen. I have never been so rudely treated by any legitimate business and can only assume (as others have posted) that this is just a scam.

I checked the Syracuse BBB ratings and found FrameFixers earned an "F" - not surprising given the 60 counts of fraud Cornell was charged with according to other postings regarding his former jewlery business in Syracuse. Stay away from this guy and FrameFixers- nothing but lies and trouble!
