I never get late fees, so I was very surprised to see a $25 charge on my care credit account. I called them up and they said it was due on the sixth. I pay all my bills online with Bank of America online debit account and I placed the bill as due to be paid on the eighth.
I called care credit to ask about the late fee and they said it was due on the sixth.
My next payment is due, and tonight as I was looking at the due date - it just seemed very difficult to distinguish between a 6 and an 8 on the bill. So, I decided to do some internet searching if anyone else had a problem with care credit. It seemed rather suspicious that the eight in the six would be so similar, especially since the font discrepancy triggered a late fee.
I came upon this site and I noticed someone else had a problem with the fees specifically that they were trying to charge them late fees. Now I wonder if this is not just a ploy to charge late fees. I work in media and have a background in television ...this might make a good story.

A good story?

A good story..Really?
Yea it was one in the making that GE Care Credit must have been there thousands of years when the evolution of the numbers we use today started. But you actually do bring up a good question. Why is 6(SIX) a 6, and why is 8(EIGHT) an 8? Why are they so similar? Was it figured out that thousands of years later these numbers could be used to scam someone out of a late fee because they didn't have their glasses on?
How about this..how about scanning a copy of your bill(of course removing your personal information) showing how the 6 looks like an 8?
