We purchased a Global Sun-Pool with the promises of it being maintenance free with exception of two gallons of clorox bleach every two weeks. The surveyer looked over our property and assured us that our desire to have the pool placed in an area safer for our children was no problem, but the installer refused to complete that desire and placed the pool in an area that is a total eye sore and also takes away from the beauty of our home.
We attempted to cancel purchase because of this misleading and unfortunate situation but was then reminded that the company practices a 30% cancellation clause, even if their people are at fault. Also we were told by the salesperson that came out, our sale was done in-house so there was no finance charge and that we had a flat total to pay, but we found out the day of installation this was also untrue and in the end we were stuck with a 21.9 % finance charge and as an middle class family of six with one income this is a travisty. In addition, our yard was destroyed, an article taken, then later returned after several long distance phone calls.
Once the installation was supposedly complete, we realized that the parts that accompanied the pool don't perform effiently or possibly not at all as in the case of the pressure gage, this like several other attributes can lead to the malfuntion of other exspensive parts that are needed for the lifetime of the pool. I contact Mr Frank E. with global sun pool to inform him of the problems with this purchase form day one and was abruptly hung up on because he could not understand my frustration, and this can after I shed light on the fact that the salesperson guaranteed us that finance was in house and how we learned the truth well after the fact. Also he stated that we were a financial risk and this is why financing was not done as we were told.
I proceeded to tell him had we known we were lied to as a ploy to get our business, and had we known that we were not good enough consumers for his company to finance this product, we would have cancelled regardless of the consequences. Mr. Frank E. let me knew that since he had our signatures, rectifying the situation was not a option and he would just put a lien our property.
Later several good spirited employees did attempt to help, but I have found it in my experience with this company that if the head of this corporation is so unconcerned with the operation of his product and is only concerned with revenue, we as consumers should let our voices be heard and let companies that practice unfair and dirty dealing as this company does, know that consumers folding on ther persuit for good service and a working product is unlikely, and that they will be reported to every agency out there that can help eliminate such practices.
It is true to say that it is CEO'S and companies like this that stop consumers from shopping outside the hometown areas. I will pray for these individuals that can only see the dollars sign and not the promises that they make to others because in the end they to would eventually be short changed and that's because deception is a ugly thing, and we were decieved.
