A young man (last name Lewis) appeared at my door with a sob story about working to keep people off the street and off welfare. I have learned thru the years that these are always scams designed to separate you from your money. I stopped him short of the 'magazine subscription' spiel by saying that I would check the company out and if legit I would then consider his request. He promptly left and I alerted my neighbors.
