I ordered a Grant Master CD and paid $1.97 for it. I never received the CD. Then I notice a strange charge on my card for $29.95 to Grant Search Assistant. I searched and searched for a number to contact them. I asked them to cancel my account. They advised me that I had 3 SEPARATE accounts that would need to be canceled. They could only cancel one of the three.

One of the accounts was in a pending status (because they had just run the credit card number) and it could not be canceled until the credit card was approved and the charge was verified. Then they gave me a phone number for some other company that I need to call to cancel that account.

Since they can't cancel my account until AFTER the charge clears, I am forced to pay the $29.95 in addition to the $1.97 I paid for a CD I NEVER RECEIVED!

His rebuttal is half true.

I did call and cancel all of the accounts that had been created for me. They did tell me they would refund my money. Unfortunately, 2 days later the $29.95 charge cleared my credit card company. They also sent me an email that they would refund the cost of the CD that I never received. I've yet to see that as well. I called my card company to verify that it wasn't just in limbo land somewhere - they said no. No credits have been applied to my account.
So, it sounds like a good deal, but unfortunately it's just not true.

First of all let me offer my sincerest apologies to Sashua. There are no commitments with the free product. There is a bonus free trial period to the membership websites that accompanies the free CD and we do our best to disclose this as it is stated on the sales page, the order page, the confirmation page and in the confirmation email. You can also see it is disclosed in the Terms and Conditions of the offer. The trial period is free for 14 days and we would not have charged Sashua had she canceled during the trial period. It is not our desire to bill clients who do not want the membership after the free trial offer.

I have located Sashua's account and the charge she is disputing has been refunded and all services related to her account have been cancelled. Customer service can be reached between 9 am - 9 pm Eastern Time M-F if you are needing any additional information.

If you are another customer that is reading this and you feel that we have failed you in some way please call me directly at 435-773-1795 or email me at ryanr@wskc.org and I would be happy to address your concerns ASAP.

Sincerely,

Ryan R.

I have located Sashua's account and have verified that the charge she is disputing has been refunded as of today. She contacted customer service at 866-396-5718 to cancel the same day that she was charged, under those circumstances we are willing to work with most customers. I have also verified that all services related to this account have been canceled and she will receive no further charges in relationship to this account.
