Greenwich Securities Inc. SCAM SCAM SCAM Dont fall for this!! Morriston Ontario

I too received a letter from Greenwich Securities saying I had won $250,000 in the "Shoppers Sweepstakes" Enclosed was a check for $4980.00 ostensibly to cover "government taxes". All they want you to do is call a number to your claim agent to set the ball in motion. They want you to deposit the check and then send the "tax amount" of $2995.00 to them via Moneygram or Western Union. You keep the balance of that $4980.00 check as part of your winnings. Big Red Flag!!

Here are some more flags. The check they send is made out in your name, the accompanying letter does not have your name on it. The address of the company on the letterhead, 100 Front St., Morriston ONT H4N-3L4 is totally bogus since that postal code is for Saint-Laurent QC. This letter also comes as a piece of bulk mail. Finally, a quick web search for Greenwich Securities shows that this "company" is affiliated with the Nigerian stock exchange. As is common knowledge, Nigeria is the world's SCAM central.

Do yourself a favor and throw this away. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
