Groupon From their call center both at the US office and remote in INDIA: Preethi, Mikal, Miguel, Sathya, Mario Offered me employment (by taking the pay from Groupon customers) and promising pay. However, 3 months later, I still haven’t been paid!

So one of the definitions of human trafficking and slavery is tricking someone into working for free and promising they will receive pay and then not doing so. Well that’s exactly what Groupon Merchant has done to me. To be fair I had a horrible scamming customer (Raisa Adams).

I do cosmetic type work so Groupon put my rate at $189. After their cut and additional fees my take home pay was at $70 The customer left happy and I showed her the work before she left and have all this on camera. Of course I offered to show this to Groupon but their “support center” kept transferring me and not seeming to know what the other person was talking about.

Additionally, it cost me $50 to rent the salon space per appointment, so including gas and supplies, my experience with Groupon caused me to PAY $60 to work for free with a rude, entitled customer. I will never do business with them again.

What is also sketchy about them is they outsource their customer service agents to shady parts of the world. And they only pay by direct deposit so random weirdos have access to your social security number, bank account, and routing number.

As a customer I made them thousands over the years but after this human trafficking situation as a merchant I’ll only book with the place directly from now on to ensure they get paid.
