This place, and these guys are terrible rip-off artists. The headlights are junk made in India... really bad junk. One headlight literally fell apart before I even installed it. I plugged the unbroken light in to check out the quality of the light and the beam pattern was nothing like the original headlight. I adjusted the light and the beam went everywhere, except on the road. Imagine the worst used car salesman and you have these guys. They provide terrible customer service and use lies and deception throughout the entire return procedure. The say they will send you an email with the return procedures but they never do. They effective use caller ID to avoid accepting returns. Now that I've called them from 2 different phone numbers, they keep placing back on hold for about 1/2 until they finally decide to just hang up. If you are lucky enough to figure out what their real address really is, they want you to send returns to them only via UPS and FedEx (no USPS) and insist that you have it delivered to a "Business" only.... (must be something legal that they don't want to do) They insisted I don't write on the box, too. Why? Are the selling used lights? They gave me their address during the first call but I think their operations are in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I used Google Earth to do a street view of one of their Lauderdale addresse's and one of them is just a parking lot... the other is a shady looking, ring bell to enter location which looks to be in the worst part of the city. These guys are pro's at screwing you and the whole system, in general. They primarily sell only through Ebay. On Ebay, they can get away with just about anything you read about above. If you complain, Ebay will just send them a nasty email. Amazon.com would not put up with the crap these guys are pulling. Read the return policy, but don't believe it. If you don't believe me, have them email you the RMA instructions and return policy in advance of your purchase. I guarantee you won't get it! BTW, they wanted a photo of the damaged light and it's serial number so they could forward it the the manufacturer in order for them to receive a return credit. They said they would then send me another light to replace the broken light but, of course.... it never did come. People like this make me ill.

My experience with headlight depot.com

AUTHOR: Mike - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, December 25, 2017

I bought some 8-piece lens kit and high and low beam bulbs from headlight depot.com. it all came together for 69.99 I believe. It was for my Chevy Tahoe 1997. Don't feel like commenting much but it was a very very good deal you would have to be a fool to complain. Just wanted to write this so that others could get the good deal too and not be all the way worried because of some guys comment above. Can't believe I'm actually even taking the time to write this but it was that good of a deal and I'm very very happy with my new lights and lenses for such a cheap price. It's actually Christmas so is someone reads this Merry Christmas everyone.Agape

My experience compared to this guy's

AUTHOR: federisbetter - ()

POSTED: Thursday, December 18, 2014

I don't normally do this but upon reading this post, I feel like I have no choice but to completely disagree with whatever this guy's problem is.

First of all, I don't think there is an aftermarket car part in the world that is made in India and sold in America. The lights I have purchased have all been from the continent of Asia, but not India--China or Taiwan.

Secondly, If I received a product that was falling apart, there's a pretty good chance that it was damaged by the logistic company who delivered that package rather than the seller of that particular item being the sole people that should be held responsible for the condition of the item upon receiving it.

I don't think unbroken is a word, however it was a good idea to install and/or plug-in the light that was not damaged to ensure that I would not be in need of a whole new set or anything like that. I also had an issue with my order, they created a ticket, requested some photos, and I had the replacement light sent out to me and received within 2 days of them having received all of the info they requested.

I can't help but stay on this topic for a second because let's really think about what this gentleman's complaint is geared towards from the start. He purchased an aftermarket replacement, meaning, he was too cheap to cough up the money for the OEM style lights but expects the quality to be exactly like the factory originals. That within itself is an absurd expectation aside from the fact that the guy is destroying this business over the quality of the product he purchased and then parlayed it into bad customer service and so on.

I received every email from them that they said I would which included: The invoice from my purchase, an email with my FedEx tracking information, an email stating a ticket had been opened for me when my problem was discovered, and email asking for photos, and an email stating that my replacement had shipped. I made one phone call. That's it. Easiest purchase/warranty process I have ever experienced, honestly.

As for the "caller-ID" watching, this guy sounds like a 9/11 conspiracy theorist. I myself also work in customer service so I feel as though I am more than qualified to speak on behalf of their department. Calls are logged and recorded in the CS industry for the purpose of resolving customer complaints and other FAQ's. Do we recognize the names of customers? Sure, if they call every 5 minutes, but we always answer, no matter how annoying or ingorant they are when you speak to them--like this guy.

As for their address, it was pretty easy to find because it is in the correspondence for the return of a package. If you bring it up on Google maps, you'll see that this company clearly isn't located in Ft. Lauderdale and has a mega warehouse that they operate out of. Perhaps at the time, they were located at a previous address and that is what came up with this customer's search, but if it shows an empty warehouse that could mean a lot of things. For example, it could have been the weekend--I know I don't work 7 days a week. They could have already moved, typically a business that grows tends to need to move into a new location--a lot like a hermit crab.

As for the complaints about with carrier to return an item with, when has anyone ever had a good experience with the USPS? It's more expensive, takes forever, and no one there is polite. One of my best friends works for the USPS and he is an a*s. I tell him all of the time that the reason the Post Office is going to disappear is because of people like him.

This takes me back to the statement about what he thinks they are doing: "(must be something legal that they don't want to do) They insisted I don't write on the box, too. Why? Are the selling used lights?)

Is that even English? I mean, if you are going to complain about someone or accuse them of doing ILLEGAL things, at least have the common decency to spell the word correctly. I don't think they do anything illegal or sell used lights; think about it, if there is nothing wrong with the light and someone orders something incorrectly, why wouldn't you just resell the perfectly good item? I get it.

Upon looking into where they sell and all of that good stuff, looks like Amazon and eBay have no problem with the way they do business. They are PLATINUM rated sellers on eBay and have a Amazon Seller Performace score of 4.8 out of 5 stars; seems pretty legit to me.

I can continue on about why this customer is the reason that customer service associates hate their lives but it seems to me like this is all pretty self explanitory. If this guy would have done the same thing they ask of all of their customers, and that is provide some photos of the damaged item, then this company will take care of it.

This guy, like myself, has nothing better to do but give people a hard time. Rather than bash the business, I like to bash stupid people and today, this guy is the winner for being one of the most ignorant people I've had the pleasure of reading about on this wonderful website.

My Own Experience with this company.

AUTHOR: ruggles - (United States of America)

They are just awful.  They are rude and abrupt.  They hang up on you.  They don't respond to emails.  Worse yet, their shoddy products cause problems beyond what you started with.  Imagine having to remove the entire front bumper cover to replace your OEM headlight assemblies.  So you replace them with these aftermarket assemblies which don't even use the same bulbs as the OEMs.  So if you have a bulb that needs replaced, you can't just go in to the dealer or auto parts store and pick one up for your vehicle.  You have to try to replace it based on the bulb in the aftermarket assembly.  In my own case, installation of these shoddy aftermarket assemblies caused problems with the electrical system in general.  By the time I remove the bumper cover again, and replace these POS with OEMs, I will have lost at least $2k.  And to try to work a return with this crew is beyond consideration.

Rip Off artists?  That's an understatement.  The first reviewer is being kind.  They are as bad as it gets.
