I received an email from hotwire on my computer at work confirming a reservation I did not make. I live in Denver, Colorado. The ticket was a round trip ticket for a man or a boy leaving from Philadelphia and coming to Denver on December 22, 2008. I called Hotwire and said that I did not know why they were sending me a confirmation for a reservation that I did not make. I told them I did not know the person the tickets name was in. I do not know anyone in Philadelphia. I told them this was a fradulant charge and I wanted to make sure the ticket was cancelled. They told me they could not cancell it because the ticket was ordered from my computer with my credit card. I ask them to see what they would find out but they basically told me it was my problem. I asked if they could cancel the ticket so no one would be able to use it. They refussed.

I called me credit card company and told them my card was use against my knowledge or permission and to please cancell my credit card right away. I also call the United Airlines and wrote a them letter asking them to make sure no one uses the ticket. I contacted my human resources department to see who might have had access to my computer when the ticket was booked. My company is looking into how this could have happened.

I reported fraud to Hotwire the minutie I received an email from them. I reported this to my credit card company and my company. Hotwire said it is not their problem and they will not reverse the charge from my credit card. United Airllines told me to deal with Hotwire because they were the company the ticket was purchased through. My credit card company is investigating it now.

I meantime have cancelled my credit card and have my company looking to see if we can discover how this happened. I am so upset that someone has access to my credit card information and could do something like this to me. I can't believe that Hotwire will not cancell the ticket or credit the charge on my credit card. I am being stolen from by Hotwire.
