Hotwire Expedia If you search under Expedia it hooks you to go to their sister company hotwire at a cheaper rate, then you get ripped off, you think you entered 8 days with a certain quote, but it ends up being only 7 days. They won't refund you and you have to pay the extra cost for the extra days. If you don't take a screenshot of what you did, you have no choice. San Francisco California

Expedia is the front for legitimate bookings.  You will see a link on their site which shows cheaper prices on hotwire.  BEWARE.

If you hit that link they will quote you something when you think it is for 8 days for example, but when the final confirmation comes through it is for 7 days.  They will NOT refund you even if you call immediately.  If you did not take a screenshot of what you ordered, you are screwed.  They charged me for that extra day of car charge and I had to take it or end up sitting in the airport.  I asked for a refund so I could keep looking and said I could not.

I think that expedia is the legitimate site and they purchased hotwire as the bait and hook entity. Very disillusioning.
