I cosigned for someone but was not contacted when the borrower failed to make payments for 3 months. I accidently found out from a phone call to him when he wasn't at work.

I made up a large part of the late payments to keep this off my credit and another large payment within 30 days and paid it off within 60 days of the accidental contact but am still fighting to get this off my credit report.
Stay away from these people. They are rude, uncaring and generally smart @#$*'s. Everytime I contacted them thinking it would be different if I got someone else but it never got any better.

I am so glad I had the money to pay off but wish I had never signed.
