Universal Payment (AkA Inventhelp, ISC, Inventtech, Universal Fiance Co) PAY 16k for what? Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Way back in the early years of this new century. I had an Idea that unfortunately now, inadvertently threatens my military career. I had an invention that I wanted to patent, market and all that jazz, pursue the American dream. Prior to joining the airforce I enlisted the help of ISC. They prayed on my desire to get my product out there. I went ahead and paid the 800USD for the BIP (Basic information package) Got my package and was initially excited because in the BIP they provide you with a letter form an attorney that tells you the idea is defiantly patentable, however words it carefully enough as to not legally tie himself up.

So then the lady who your in contact with tells you how this product could make you ALL this money, however she says theres no guarantee, but YOU will! They prayed on my young and nave mind, so of course I decided to go for it somewhat reluctantly after finding out the price tag of my dreams, 16000USD. I paid them a down payment, and made several monthly payments, I didnt even see anything in the mail from them except a bill of 500USD a month (what it went to I dont know) almost 6 months to a year after, I decided to I joined the airforce. I told ISC I wanted to stop and want my money back.

Of course they refused, I said fine, keep what I paid, and send me what you did. They again refused, finally I said keep my money and just leave me alone. They did this, for 3 years, until last year they reported me to the credit bureau, saying I have an outstand dept of 16k, they (Betty) started calling me and harassing me on base, at my shop. Of course my credit score crashed. I cant afford an attorney and I cant afford to pay 16k. I certainly refuse to pay 16k for nothing.

In hindsight I wish I would have researched the company better before enlisting their so called help. Now I am under investigation for my clearance because of my credit issue. If I cant maintain my clearance then I am out of my military career. In an ideal world, I would get my money back from them with interest, removal of their name from my credit repot and some sort of monetary compensation for their harassment. Bryce Anchorage, Alaska
