I bought a DVD writer for my computer. The writer came with 2 rebate offers. I/O Magic and Circuit City. Circuit City was very prompt and have been with the last couple rebates. However, I/O MAGIC has not sent the rebate and when I followed up on the rebate through their process, they haven't even answered me like they promised they would in 7 days. I was very careful when sending in the rebate request, and I kept copies of everything.
Why can't these companies like I/O Magic and other rip-off companies like them (Xerox another rebate fraud company) just offer sale prices at the store? Well, we both know the answer to this question - this is the easy was for them to sell their product and hope to keep their more of their money, via rebates not being sent in or by them LYING, and saying they never received the rebate request or just not processing request. I shouldn't have to go through this process just to get the money I/O Magic promised. Don't buy their product.

received my rebate, lost my trust!

After resubmitting my rebate request. I finally received my rebate. I/O Magic did pay the rebate quickly after I resubmitted. However this company has lost my trust!

Its been a couple of weeks since I started the fight to get my rebate. I've contacted the store where the item was bought. I contacted the BBB and I/O magic. I had to resubmit my rebate request to I/O Magic. Did this via a fax. I just checked the rebate services and a automatic response has said my rebate check has been issued and is on the way. I should not have had to go through this hassel. I'll keep this site up to date if I get the rebate check.
